Why do people give American suburbs so much shit? They live in giant houses that most Europeans could only dream about and due to their wealth they can afford to drive everywhere. It is pretty based.
>inb4 but it looks ugly from helicopter point of view
only thing i dislike about them is the small backyards and lack of trees. but the older ones have those things
Parker Roberts
Commuting hours everyday is dumb.
Jonathan White
>Why do people give American suburbs so much shit? only poorfaggots and pathetic retards give suburbs shit. its a nice way of living, i'm sure.
Austin Reed
There definetly is an aesthetic to the pic you posted
Ethan Hill
Yes, the lack of trees and parks makes it look sterile and souless
Dylan Howard
they are not wealthy you dumb anglo and i wouldnt want to live there an npc life
their houses are made out of wood and gas is much cheaper in america.
Alexander Green
no space around the house, no privacy, no garden, no parking space, no place for your kids to play, no place for you to store your stuff. nothing. just an advanced form of commieblock.
Ian Foster
Needing a car to go anywhere fucking sucks. We waste so much space and resources because of these 2000 pound metal boxes are a requirement to live in most of the country.
Evan Ortiz
What's the point of living in a house if there is no nature and there's tons of neighbours everywhere?
Entire reason I bought my house was to get away from such terrible things.
Daniel Martin
Having cheap petrol so you can afford to drive everywhere is being wealthy in natural resources.
Why is living crammed into a flat and riding the scheduled train system to work less 'NPC' than driving where you want when you want and then going home to your 2,500 square foot house with a pool?
David Garcia
what the fuck? you don't have those in apartment blocks either
Muskegon is unironically a drug infested shithole though.
Luke Watson
They cost a fortune At least the poorest of Europoors can get 8x8 houses anywhere while America is either mcmansions or tent homelessness
Camden Jenkins
driving is like snow you enjoy it for a few minutes and thats it
Josiah Stewart
I can run around my house naked while shooting guns, it's awesome.
The Heights, yeah.
Christian Scott
>Driving is relaxing not when you live in america
David Mitchell
Lots of people like driving but it's not really about liking it, do people 'like' riding the train? it is about getting from one place to another.
America has seas and lakes too but I'm talking about housing.
Why would your personal pool be dirty? Why do you care if your neighbours are boomers? You have far more privacy from your neighbours in a US (Or New world because I'm sure Canada, Australia and New Zealand are basically the same) suburb.
Kayden Gray
Please tell me more about my country
Bentley Ramirez
sounds good, you found a nice place.
Juan Price
you think crack heads live in those houses?
Owen Price
spacious homes >> cuckbox apartments
Wyatt White
Muskegon as a whole is a depleted shithole.
Kevin Wood
Every time my parents move into a bigger house, they just feel the need to buy more stuff and fill it with even more useless shit.
Bentley Robinson
>he thinks there are only one type of suburb Brainlets detected. In the US you can find all types of suburbs from redwood forests to cactus deserts. Only braindead EuroNPCs thinks living in a cramped expensive apartment in the middle of the city full of degenerates is better than a wide open suburb with ample freedom. It's all cope if you ask me
>europe has seas and lakes ehh... not as many and not as densely as the US
and the parts that don't have lakes are wayyyyy more interesting and have much better weather
Gavin Davis
maybe because these suburbs are in the middle of the desert
Angel Ross
projecting much? i legit said the older suburbs have more and bigger trees in them.
Gabriel Fisher
people cant drive for shit in america
Jonathan Baker
chances are an american has more driving experience than you do since we drive literally everywhere
Caleb Morgan
experience doesn't mean shit if you're doing it wrong
Luke Anderson
I thought you guys crawl around at slow speed due to heavy traffic There's this guy that makes youtube videos, he's always yelling that he can't fucking move, too many cars
eh true. i've been in suburbs that have trees and little to none trees
James Edwards
Because it seems like there is basically nothing except housing rows? Where are the bakeries, supermarkets, shops, cafes, clubs, parks, squares, clinics, schools etc?
Dylan Phillips
I'd much rather live in a building like one of these tbqh. The allure of a tumultuous city and its night lights just makes it so comfy.
you can barely walk between the houses without trespassing on your neighbours and the entire front of the property are completely open to the street. you call that space and privacy? and how many of these are hoa/poa with all kinds of stupid rules and regulation?
Connor Cruz
this, kind of. nature is boring but keep in mind you have to literally be a multimillionaire to live in those buildings. chances are you'll probably live in some run down whacky apartment (or apartment complex) and you may never see the skyline itself.
Ian Miller
That gets old after a while
Christian Davis
When you realise there are zoomer traps dancing around in every one of those houses
You are wrong about every single aspect of your post. Literally the opposite of everything you said is what these places are really like.
I hate when Yuroshits who live in closet sized apartments try and act like they know anything about American houses.
Cameron Williams
I think they look nice for the most part. My issue with them in general is, if it's true, that it takes a long time to drive to the nearest grocery store and other amenities. Also, having to drive for an hour and a half to get to your job is not good Other than that I can't really argue against it After all it's not so different from here. Pic related, comfy norwegian housing.
That's good to know. Then the only con I can think of must be that, because of the vastness of the suburbs and everything, there might be a very long commute to work. I'm used to 10-20 minutes commute to work.
I have consulted literally every Scandinavian and West Norse person and I have through entirely scientific means PROVED that except for0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 seconds per day, Scandinavians, per average, enjoy a better standard of life.
do you have a tv show about neighbors hating each other in these kind of houses? i'd love to watch that
Jacob Fisher
That kind of house is the most common so no one would get it. They are pretty well made in terms of sound proofing and insulating to keep heat though. New homes that are being built are a lot more commonly fully detached plywood shit on the inside though. Pic related.
It is my dream for every semi to be turned into a single big house.
Carson Anderson
Ii would be nice
Evan Davis
low-density spawly suburbia is a massive drain on resources, plus the space they take up is ridiculous don't really see what's wrong with a semi-detached house on principle, I grew up in one and it didn't bother me
Adrian Clark
I prefer to live in an area where everything is withing walking distance
Jonathan Brown
Imagine living in a place where there is nothing but houses and you have to drive anywhere
Carter Williams
There's woods in the back of my house. Everyone posts the pictures on the tiny house packed together suburbs in the middle of the desert on here, but most are not like that
Jayden Davis
There is nothing wrong with them it is just that having regular detached houses would be better.
Gabriel Diaz
>disgraceful construction quality + insulting, cartoon-like architecture >entirely based around the automobile >enforces isolation and severely detracts from social cohesion and a sense of community They're soulless shit, plain and simple. There are no redeeming qualities to the American living arrangement.
Tyler Smith
Too many people right next to you, I'd prefer a house with either less neighbors or more restaurants within walking distance In my experience though, most suburbs aren't actually that far from a main road with some stores and places not too far down it, the friends I had who lived in suburbs had no problem walking where they wanted to go
William Morris
but that pic doen't look like a shithole, you dumbfuck. i don't even live in michigan. just saying.
Jason Ross
I wonder if it is the same 1-2 samefags who spew this bullshit in every thread about suburbs. There are many options where to live and some prefer rural or urban areas. but that doesn't mean suburbs are "shit". And not all suburbs are the same. And why the fuck do you care about a "soul". Wtf is that even. Are you all burger flags poor fags or something.
Thomas Perez
i miss the old days when i lived right on the fringe city suburbs, backyards were just big enough, playing with the neighborhood kids just popping by each others houses whenever, halloween was always fun
they're basically living in the sleeping quarters of a prison camp. Nicely sectioned off, strictly purposed for shuffling the wage-sheeple into when it's night, easily controlled in the event of rebellion. Entirely anti-social thus causing greater medication use, and reliance on the system as a whole.
William Kelly
Are there any parks or anything? It would be shit rising a child there. Having nothing more than a 3x3m small yard
Chase Ward
Amerigoblos have no culture. You have no culture Mutt Senior for producing that hellspawn
Samuel Sullivan
>flag no country in europe feels more american than norway. pretty dumb of you not to notice that.
>3x3m small yard >any parks wtf are you talking about. you guys are dumb. DUMB!
That there's nothing but a sea of houses and having to drive anywhere. I spent my childhood playing in forests etc. Despite living in a town
Jace Young
youre a retard
Samuel Morales
most people plant trees in the new suburbs, they just take a while. backyard size is just based on the area t.b.h
Jeremiah Thompson
How are apartments/commieblocks not like that? They pack as many into one building as possible and you get much less space, and in the US it is rarely bought out and usually rented so you dont even own the damn place. Anti-social part is a meme because Ive lived in both settings and have interacted with my neighbors much more in a suburb.
Christian Powell
Grew up in this comfy abode. Our suburbs are underrated.
No, poorest of Europe rent a room in some shitty apartment.
Andrew Roberts
All the ones in my town have parks, but im in the based midwest so maybe it isnt common elsewhere. The average yard size in the US is 10k sqft (~929 sqm), up to 74k (~6800 sqm) in Vermont, but yes the yards are 3x3m
Just depends where you live, average salary is like $52k here and average house is only $165k, that is not too bad. Just get a working gf or wife and then it will be like 2-3 years to pay off
Josiah Gutierrez
Surprisingly not many. And it’s ridiculous to assume you’ll just accidental tresspass all the time. You have uptight areas and more lax areas, take your pick
