Wtf....
Why?

I really don't understand the meme of modern cities being soulless

If you actually look at contemporary stuff city life has scarcely changed

Rising cost of maintenance outweighing the amount they get
Honestly it'd be better if they turned it into a museum

cuz fuck whitey and white culture
>youtube.com/watch?v=3oX-z4iV4uM

>Honestly it'd be better if they turned it into a museum
That would cost even more.
Seriously there are so many of these churches in France. They all look the same. Nobody actually cares if one gets demolished every once in a while.

I see... That's sad
Over here, the Mumbai government handed over old buildings for sale on the condition that the architecture would be preserved and there would be no extra modifications done to it.
Most of them are now banks and offices on the top floors with shops on the bottom floor

life in both old and new is basically the same you we wuz nostalgiafag

When did the transformation take place? I don't like the white Arab dress, looks bland and unappealing.

People forget that all the fancy ass iconic architecture is the "best of" of their architectural time period. the average or shit buildings got culled.

Wtf Germany?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_St._Lambertus,_Immerath

Or whatever a storehouse/historical site
Shit happens
Turns out having to face two world wars and a cold wars make you doubt whether a higher power exist
The vatican can't do shit because selling their stuff would mean it'd be a violation of the Lateran treaty

>Lateran Treaty
What's that?

I mean that thing doesn't look particularly exiting. Gotta get your coal from somewhere.

Basically it was to solve the question of Vatican's in the context of Italian unification since prior to that it enjoyed a state of control over various Italian territories

>the only need of a german is to burn coal

*Vatican's sovereignity

Hey at least the building was left intact
Would look nice if the waterways were left alone as well

Ahh I see
So it prevents privatization of Vatican structures?

That is tragic

>he's mad because the brown gold isn't buried right under his feet in his cunt

Part of the treaty yes
The entire treaty resulted in the Vatican being given sovereignity over the areawhere it stands in the Apennine Peninsula as well as yearly compensation for the lossess of its former territory
Pic related is the extent it controlled until the Italian Wars of reunification

I would think white always was popular due to the environment, but yeah I'm curious too when the typical arab attire came about (white robe red keffiyeh). However, afaik women wear black. Just to suffer?

Damn that's a lot of land
How did they acquire it? Via conquest?

I always wonder as well
I actually remember seeing a documentary where it said that Nomadic desert people often wear very black clothes to protect themselves, often wonder how that works because I thought wearing black clothes makes you really warm

Not by conquest iirc
It just sort of happened

Could be from land donations by religious landlords/kings and stuff?

Read this Indianon
Can't talk right now atm

Thanks for replying, I will read it..

Honestly, because it looks cuter and is easier to maintain. Other muslim majority countries have brighter clothing

the skyrise ruins an otherwise great photo

Those 'shit buildings' were just as good as the canonical architectural pieces (compared to today). Because they were built as a city, from local materials and hands and techniques, for that place and time. Present-day cities are not coherent or really even cities, they're just the segregated wet shits of cultureless architects following dumb trends while pretending to be individualistic and innovative.

You're welcome.

>Turns out having to face two world wars and a cold wars make you doubt whether a higher power exist
That doesn't prove there's no god, it just proves he's a dick.

>Those 'shit buildings' were just as good as the canonical architectural pieces (compared to today).
No they weren't. Would you say that slum housing is good just because they're build "from local materials and hands and techniques"? I don't think so. You sound like the type of hipster who would eat whatever shit they serve you so long as it's """authentic", you can fuck right off with that shit.

Fuck

Perhaps we are surrender monkeys but at least Paris is intact.

The church is like 100 years old, no historical value

If it lasted 100 years then it already came along way. It shouldn't have been destroyed.

I'm too depressed to even hate you every time I see that pic

Attached: TnT.png (1366x559, 1.33M)

At least yours were destroyed in a war, here it was just because of inferiority complex.
