How is university going for you, Jow Forums ?

I fucking hate it, i'm sick of studying and I'm a lazy cunt. I don't talk to anyone and have no friends from University. I'm not even trying to get a gf.

Dropped out 3 times
Last time was 4 years ago.

Same here as well
Got an exam tomorrow no mood to study

Graduated after 5 years in 2016

Life is a shit show at every stage. I know that doesn't sound cheery, but try to find the best. Don't tell yourself it'll get better after X. You have to make it better. You need to stand and reach for what you want.

good luck lad. tfw I initially thought university would be great.

dropped out once, reapplied, and now I have been studying for 5 years, I should be doing my manadatory readings, but I don't care I really don't care

same
everyone is such a go getter in my group idk how they do it

It's been over two years since i made a female friend in real life but my studies are ok for now

I will move out in three weeks and start university.

I need to find a topic for my master thesis. Wanted to start searching back in November lol.

graduated 5 years ago
I didn't have friends either but I miss the atmosphere.

It sucks, but I’m powering through it. There’s literally no reason why education, higher or not, shouldn’t be almost entirely lecture and in some cases like mathematics practice, instead of an endless series of graded written materials and tests. They don’t teach you shit nor make you a more eloquent writer.

The only friends I have are my nerdy friends from high school, they are quite good friends. But from Uni I don't have any.

still haven't made a female friend yet

good luck lad, hope your experience is good.

I finish uni in 3 months, feels good to be honest
as for friends, uni """""friends""""""" are shit anyway, they're more like buddies than friends

I'm going to try and get internships this year. Hopefully will give me a better chance of getting a job

What sort of topic range do you need to cover? I’m pretty good about coming up with one if you need help.

thanks m8, hope it gets better for you too

>there's no reason an institution that certifies my knowledge should ever test my knowledge

Attached: (you).gif (652x562, 392K)

I just recently received some connections from some local/state politicians in case I ever want to intern but holy fuck is that going to be a boring and expensive waste of time. I dread it but I’m not sure if I should act on it now or next summer.

So far I would say it's going okay. I have no friends at my program because I find med students really boring but I've made friends that attend other programs. My grades are very mediocre.

Bro u are legit me and i didnt even make this post lmao.

I think It's literally a waste of time, money and energy if you're not in the top 10 uni's in your country. Even then you have to study your ass off to not fall behind, right. My point is if you're a brainlet like me don't fool yourself and move on, spend your time and money on other things. My life is full of regrets now, wasted my 20's in front of the screen doing nothing basically so far.

You know for a fact that no one remembers half that shit. You take a test, write a paper, then push the material you learned aside so you can prepare to do it again for another class/subject. The grading system is a sick joke devised to prep one for a life of wagecucking; only at least you get paid instead of paying for the latter.

Computer science. Either something in the area of organic computing or forensics. Already wrote my Prof for forensics. I hope he answers so we can talk of there's a topic for me.

I dont talk to anyone and I have no will to keep studying. I'll probably drop out soon

oof that’s way outside my peripheral sorry lad
You’re going to hate me for saying this, but have you tried Jow Forums? Or alternatively for a less cancerous route you could ask around your major.

>I'm a retard so everyone is a retard
Okay.

>I have no friends at my program because I find med students really boring
this. Don´t know what it is about medicine that only the most generic people get into it.

> tfw all my friends went on and on about how hard everything was and how they got so many questions wrong on their final high school tests, while they all managed to get super good grades.

I thought this would be a once off thing, but while I started wageslaving it, they all went to university and got engineering and commerce and law degrees.

> meet up with my friends about 7 years later at the old fish and chip shop we used to hang out at.
> they're all successful people and make at least six figures(one guy is making literal millions from tax consultancy)

why did I have to be so lazy and retarded? all my friends became successful and i still dont even know how to "study" and how mathematics works. words cannot describe how totally crushing and sobering this has been for me.

Attached: 1480210932.png (628x636, 154K)

Already found frens, but still no gf. Also a little bit tired, prepairing for a exam soon

it's alright so far but i basically have no choice but to power through. I'm to socially retarded for a proper career in the service industry, already dropped out of IT. Got a random mechanics cert from tafe but basically learned nothing and demonstrated just how talentless i am with my hands, and illbe over 20 by the time ill know if this time uni's work so its probably too late for an apprenticeship/any trade work anyway.
all ive ever been able to do is get middle-high B's writing social sciences essays at the last second, if uni with everything else basically covered doesn't work its just over. Couldn't kill myself but i'd cut contacts with everybody i know and become a welfare leech in some random druggo town out of shame.

same
got kicked out in last year on last course
almost got in army (if you lose your postponement - automatically go to army for year)
but managed to recover in september
now I just tired and have no will to do anything (that's why I was kicked out)
2 month to write diploma of bakalover
probably will go to army
man... When I was freshman at uni I dreamed about being succesful and move to EU or USA...
ha ha ha
We all had dreams right?

Attached: 15521414798420.jpg (550x550, 184K)

I am going to fail the molecular structure exam for the 5th time because I got sick during exam week

Attached: 1551095650099.png (650x286, 83K)

I sorta made buddies in group assignments, but after the assignments are done we don't ever talk again.

apparently the key is to join clubs and shit, im too much of an autist to take my own advice.

I reckon you should take it man. Connections are more important than your qualifications sometimes

I am you.

Don't think I can do that. Not sure of what else I can do outside of Uni, and plus I'm already in second year.

You can try so many times? Here if you fail twice you're out

Like I said I already asked my Prof for forensics and I hope he answers next week. Gotta ask my prof for organic computing too.

Yeah, although I count the reexams, I have retaken the course thrice

Reexam is in june, I think I'll study daily for that shit from now

Depends from uni, as I know
In my university you can fail only 2 times, but in SPMU(on of the oldest technical unis in Russia) you cannot fail at all

What the hell is organic computing

>why did I have to be so lazy and retarded? all my friends became successful and i still dont even know how to "study" and how mathematics works. words cannot describe how totally crushing and sobering this has been for me.
h-haha this sounds so familiar

Attached: 1552217940784.jpg (996x776, 62K)

ur mom lol :DDDDD

Genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimization etc. Overall it's solving optimization problems that are too hard to brute force.

>We all had dreams right?
ahh the dreams man. I was hoping by this time I'd have a qt gf and a lot of uni friends, fucking shame.

drugs

one thing i've noticed about my life is that if i want something to happen, i have to force it to happen otherwise everything stays the same

nah, they just aren't autists like us.

thinking about getting some ritalin tbqh before the mid-terms, never tried it before

Attached: 1497112365779.jpg (250x236, 9K)

I noticed something as well, whenever I look forward to something I end up disappointed. Whenever I think negatively about something it ends up being ok.

What are you doing now fren?

my hopes are all dead and gone and all i have to show for it is nearly 30 years of wasted time and broken dreams

What makes you think that I am an autist? Maybe you will also assume my gender, huh? What a nazi

Tried amphetamine to pass, was send to another exam just due to high results

I wish I was a painter...

I'm wasting my money lol

I'm graduating from med school in 2020, only 5 exams left.

Every single one of the exams were hell, done nothing but study, never had any time to go out with people.

But that's not the worst of it, I've been fucked over many times by class"mates" for just a couple of points.

I don't even like medicine, just wanted to be an engineer or something ;_;

Attached: 1467063460698.png (368x214, 65K)

>But that's not the worst of it, I've been fucked over many times by class"mates" for just a couple of points.
How exactly did that happen? What have they done to you?

give turkish qt pls

>I don't even like medicine, just wanted to be an engineer or something ;_;
I wanted to do medicine but wasn't accepted
now I'll do pharmacy

I think it's because it takes a "drone" mentality to get into the medicine program, at least here.

I have been a NEET for over 11 years in total now.
I don't have what it takes to become academically successful, meaning reaching a good degree.
Thus NEET on welfare is the best option I have.

Only stupid masochists think work is always good.
NEETs and refugees are smarter than the working class people here.

people generally don't learn shit in lectures. I sure as hell don't. Unless the lecturer's pace is exactly suited to yours you will either fail to keep up or lose attention and miss things.

>done nothing but study, never had any time to go out with people.
why?I'm in med school and I always have time to go out

Attached: images.jpg (225x225, 9K)

Fifth and final year year, so excited to finish, idgaf anymore if I can't find a job on the other side, I just want out

Loselbelnd?

did your degree go for five years or did you switch degrees?

I did an LLB (Law and Commerce), which takes five years

Can you explain to me why a grading system is superior to a lecture-based system of education? Because as evidenced by these threads nobody actually reads the materials and fails exams often.

So you're coating a bunch of optimization problems with a layer of biological jargon?

Maybe it is because medical training mostly consists of memorising a lot of biology/chem/medical related stuff. So "droning"

damn, you must be a smart cunt

>I was hoping by this time I'd have a qt gf and a lot of uni friends, fucking shame.

It's OK bruder.
Funny and sad thing at the same time is when I was accepted at Uni back in 2014 I used to watch "perks of being wallflower" almost every week of summer before september.
I fucking dreamed about qt gf, awesome friends, succes at studying and, you know, that kind of "easy student life".
Instead I got social anxiety, no friends - just dudes who want something that help the at Uni and nothing more, teacher that don't give a fuck about anything, etc.
Now I'm based and redpilled and don't believe noone except G-d.
Rate.

Attached: perks of being wallflower.jpg (360x540, 86K)

Yes

Exams are needed anyway because otherwise there is no way for the uni to know that you actually learned anything before handing you what is literally a guarantee that you are qualified to do something.

Lectures are horribly inefficient.

Eh, not really, any moron can get into law these days

lol bro those were exactly my dreams too. Fuck man, hope it gets better for both of us.

>I used to watch "perks of being wallflower"
don't watch garbage like that, its pure fantasy bullshit designed to trick you
focus on yourself instead ivan

We get points for preparing patient files. It's done as a group and got cut in while presenting it countless times. You know, more talking gets you more points.

There aren't any man.

Dodged a bullet there m8.

I dropped out. I'm pretty sure I have ADHD wich is fine for high school but in the University I really couldn't study on my own and I needed to listen to the professor.

It didn't matter for me, I knew how to program already and I found work in IT perfectly fine without the degree.

judging by the popularity of this thread, I think we should have a /uni/ board. Thoughts lads?

>Dodged a bullet there m8.
why? because it's a lot to learn? pharmacy is like that too I think

Then just make trade school/training a necessary step after regular schooling. That way people can learn general information that interests them before taking the required steps to adopt an occupation. God knows most jobs don’t even require 90% of the shit you learn in school anyways. Half the time you’re just a desk jockey with some minor computer skills (which is typically taught by company trainers anyways).

Maybe just /uni/ general to begin with

Already graduated. While I was in uni, I had a gf and some friends, it was pretty fun. Right now, I don't have any of those. I've also realized I should have just put my efforts into getting a proper degree instead of an master's in memery.

It's not like that, you don't have any life left. I'm shivering at the thought of endless night shifts after graduating.

reminds me of myself.
Drop out and do something with your life before you end up with a fuckload of time wasted and regret. It took me way too long to realize that anything was better than staying in the university living like this.

Can’t see that being too successful honestly, but who knows? /edu/ would sound better though.

right. my brother in law is a doctor (just finished uni) and he's got to work a shitton

I hope too.
The only thing keeps me at Uni is to get that diploma and forget it.
Actually don't even know what to do next.

The only lesson I learned for this 4 years.

just wanted to brag that I have a Bachelors of Science from a top 10 university in US

Attached: hamster.png (294x258, 88K)

Yeah, it doesn't pay as much as it used to be too.

It's only for a few years. Later it becomes more relaxed. Or not? Anyway, at least in western countries the salary ist gut.

>Then just make trade school/training a necessary step after regular schooling
What's the point of regular schooling, then? The univeristy gives me a paper that guarantees to potential employers that I have learned something. To do that they need to test me.

I think you have never actually been to a uni lecture if you think people actually learn shit there. I slept through/didn't attend the overwhelming majority of them because the average professor is boring, bad at explaining things and generally the pacing is off for my perception. Everything I learned in university I learned myself, at home, either preparing for exams, doing assignments or just generally following up on topics that I had been exposed to.

Maybe you are thinking in terms of some soft bullshit field, but actual education doesn't work like that because you have to actually understand new information rather than just learn a bunch of catchy semantic patterns to repeat in an essay.

all i ever wanted to do in my life was make cool techno music and make money but i don't even know music at all.

why does Jow Forums hate bio-chem? i think that's cool.

Attached: IMG_20190310_152746.jpg (3840x5120, 3.38M)

graduate a long time ago, never had friends there, i spent the entire 5 years alone, never spoke to anyone, i did really well though.

good luck in the future bro

Attached: 1533656460657.jpg (1080x1263, 149K)

You too, mate. You too.

Bio-chem is great. But there is a lot of bio-chem graduates all around the world and competition for resources is fierce, whether it is academia or industry.

i remember this, i was so weak willed, tell me, when you want to start studying, what persuades you to do otherwise ? what makes you not study ?

> making my resume to apply for internships
> realised I haven't done anything worthwhile for the past 3 years
welp
