I would not recommend Lawton at all actually. It's full of hispanic & black gangbaners + fresh GIs & in general a dirty shitty town.
OKC has grown by leaps and bounds - & is actually super nice downtown now. Around Hefner is nice too & housing is still reasonable. Tulsa is also nice.
I live in a no horse town of about 30K people but I really would like to get a house in OKC before heading overseas again.
