Not really. Cholos don't really start shit unless you go out of your way to bug them. They're probably the most laid back of the criminal types here along with Armenian gangsters. I don't understand how anyone could willingly live between the 10 and 105 freeways. Literal fucking hell on earth, until you hit Ladera Heights to the West or the 710 to the East. Mexicans have an irrational disdain towards blacks that approaches or outdoes even the most racist White Americans. My dad (who grew up in a poor Mexican area that had a Black minority) says it's because Mexican migrants and Black people both being poor end up living in the same areas often but the Blacks he encountered from equally poor situations more often robbed or attacked people (often even poorer Mexican migrants) or would just mooch off the government instead of working so Mexicans end up ultra resentful and take out their rage against having hard lives on a group the see as inferior and entitled.
The first and only time the Los Angeles police department has ever levied an ethnic cleansing charge was against a group of Mexican gang members who were firebombing black homes to try and force black people out of North East LA.
