Why is it that Latinos never make historical dramas/movies that take place in pre-Colombian times just like how Asians and Europeans make medieval movies and dramas?
The only such movies I know (Apocalypto & The Emperor's New Grove) were made by Anglos.
Well you'd be hard pressed to find actual pure natives who are actors. Most latams are mestizo to castizo
Jose Stewart
del toro, robert rodriguez, alfonso cuaron... theres quite a lot decent or up and coming latin film makers. and best thing is, their movies are usually void of blatant jew propaganda
Ryan Baker
Because this continent is cucked and a mass of self-hating cucks is easier to control
Nathaniel Cook
politics, directors don't want to associate with native movements who are represented by the left
Guy in the left looks like something straight out of a PC 4x history-game box art.
James Morales
Is this bait?
There are 10000x more Native Americans in Latin America than in North America. If we can find actors for our Native movies, then for them it should be cake
Cameron Phillips
Isn't that the traitor bitch that loved Spaniard cock so much that basically sold her entire nation to the Spaniards?
Jace Jackson
I suspect because we don't know much about them. Here, 68 percent of the population is indigenous, but the history is obscure. There are some oral histories and a book, The Annals of the Kaqchiquel, written in 1571. Other than that, there isn't much. Just a lot of speculation over rocks and bones. Pedro Alvarado had all the written texts burned.
What type of shit movie could we make about our hut living indians besides "we drowned a conquistador and shiet"?
Angel Cooper
No, La Malinche is one of the most misunderstood figures in our history. Amerindian unity didn't exist back then, we had a lot of Mesoamerican kingdoms and Empires fighting each other. La Malinche helped to defeat her enemies: the Aztecs.
Connor Cruz
The girl was a slave before that. Pretty sure she didn't have any form of loyalty towards the nation.
Jeremiah Ward
Amerindians are based af if I was from Latin America I would 100% identify with Incas or Aztecs or whatever versus some euro mutt reject cesspool shit.
Jaxon Watson
Things don't change much in those communities. I saw a video recently on YouTube about Lago Atitlan made 70 years ago. Not much has changed for the Kaqchiquel and Tzutuhil since then. They wear the same style clothing, use the same dugout fishing boats, and the women still carry stuff on their heads. Only now, they have smartphones.
>Bollywood >Implying there aren't other movie productions in india Bollywood is the largest and mostly has Hindi Speaking audience Each state in india has it's own movie industry since we all don't speak the same language So no we aren't all "Bollywood" Infact all 5 southern States have their own movie industry
Kayden Miller
Did she also go by Mitzy? I could have sworn that I heard her go by that, when I learned about it in school
Nolan Ortiz
ool ni oop
Grayson Barnes
Someone should make a movie about ancient Peru
Austin Adams
I don't think Paganism will ever be a cultural agenda in LatAm m8
Ryder White
Interesting. Why do you think Bollywood is what has managed to gain the most international recognition?
Nathan Rogers
I speak English but I'm not sure what are you trying to say, what's a 'Mitzy'?
Thomas Anderson
Most Pakistanis , Afghanis and most people on the Middle East understand a bit of hindi or urdu So it's easier for them understand bollywood movies than let's just say something like malayalam or tamil movies both are dravidian languages One other important factor is during the early 80's and late 90's most Eastern Commie block countries and few African countries such as Ghana Showed indian TV , drama and songs in their countries as part of good will gesture So Saudis , Ghanaians and even few Other's such as Kazakhs were exposed to bollywood longtime ago However South Asian countries are more familiar with South indian films Since South Asia has a large South Indian diaspora
Producers think that people only want to see the whitest mestizos in the movies. Also recreating pre hispanic cities is too expensive.
Joseph Carter
I speak Kaqchikel, Tzutuhil, and Quiché fluently. I probably have a better idea what is going on here than you since where I live it is 99 percent indigenous.
Nolan Green
You probably only know a few words and phrases
Adam Wood
There's no minority push movement in Latin media?
It's a tragic shame given the minorities are the natives
Anthony Thomas
Mestizos are cucks Indios don't care cause they have their own identities, traditions, and land, and don't give a fuck what hispanics think of them
Nicholas Cruz
No, I live here. Spanish is not the primary language spoken and not everyone speaks it.
William Lopez
Do you even know what 'minority' means, retard? Whites are the minority here.
Anthony Gutierrez
Because they would have to show mayans/aztecs slaughtering eachother. And using human skulls to make buildings. This would ruin the whole “omg we were innocent little people until the spanish came”
Asher Edwards
>Let me tell you about your life
Thomas Butler
literally no one claims indigenous latinos are innocent, in fact. indigenous people are constantly demonized and discriminated against 24/7
Christian Hernandez
Indians too.
Jace Taylor
>indigenous people Were you alive at the time when the mayan empire existed? What the fuck are you on about? youre just crying some sjw shit. What im talking about is mexicans using this “we were minding our own business but the spanish had to come and kill us little indian people muaaaaaahhhh” as some sort of dumbass argument for pouring into the U.S.
Xavier Richardson
>indigenous people are constantly demonized and discriminated against 24/7
read that again and go bring some proof showing indigenous groups are portrayed as victims in latino culture
Austin Cook
BLEACHED!
Wyatt Hernandez
also what kind of brain defect causes you to jump from mayans to aztecs to mexicans?
Leo Allen
But those spaniards stayed and are our ancestors. Only indoctrinated CHIs say that
Colton Davis
this aren't amerindians like 25% of the mexican population?
Gabriel Cook
It's probably higher
Mexicans that look like this call themselves Meztizo. In America anyone with even 1/8 native blood considers themselves native American.
Because Asia and Europe have centuries of historians and archaeology behind them. We have ashes of codexes and buildings
Grayson Fisher
That's a mulatto, probably Salvadoran. And no one identifies or calls himself mestizo here. Stop making shit up.
Benjamin Long
> >>indigenous people “we were minding our own business but the spanish had to come and kill us little indian people muaaaaaahhhh” as some sort of dumbass argument for pouring into the U.S.
Do you have any specific examples of this? I have literally never heard this used as an argument to justify immigration, even in passing on the internet, or as an anti-immigration talking point.
Nolan Moore
see
Carter Wood
>If we can find actors for our Native movies
You literally can't. It's always just the same 2 or 3. And remember that native girl in Wind River? Yeah, white-Chinese hapa.
