I don't want to be a child support paypig for my entire life just so that my kids can grow up to struggle and hate their lives and hate me for it. Statistically that is way more likely than that a family would actually work out.

The divorce rate is really high but mostly it's just high among people who have less money and less education. Also women are usually the ones filing so I can't have the illusion that I'm in control of whether or not it all fails.

No. I have a decent job and I could afford it, but I don't like children, I'd be a shit father, and I wholeheartedly believe that the sum total of the average person's life experiences is overwhelmingly negative. I think having children is pretty heartless. I'm 38 so I've made it far but my gf (also 38) kind of wants one because her biological clock is going nuts on her or however that works. We both had pretty shitty childhoods though and so I don't think we'd know what we were doing.
