i lost almost all of mine

i never realized how good friends they were, even gave me money and shit

Growing up I had a ton of them, I had a great childhood up until I turned 14-15. Tons of friends ,very active lifestyle, friends I could trust, friends that liked being around me, that wanted me to be with them.

I then went through puberty and changed, hated being outside, hated showing myself, didn't wanna be seen so I stopped going out with them. They'd knock on my door at least once a day every day for fucking months, and every day I would say no, every fucking day. Eventually I only had a couple left, we'd play CS and voice chat, until they got a bit older and moved to study and get girlfriends and have lives. So I then had 0, I had one that I talked to every now and then on Steam, but that was over 7 years ago now that we were actively chatting, I haven't heard from him now in 2 years.

After that period of my life ended, I got a bunch of online friends that I became close with, some incredibly close, so much that I'd call them some of my best friends ever, despite only ever chatting over text, but eventually that group of friends started voice chatting which I was too pussy to do, so I just drifted apart from the majority of them, and slowly but surely I stopped talking to all of them, I don't even come online anywhere these days, because there's nobody left and nobody to talk to. They've all moved on since long ago.

tldr: irl friendless for 9 years, friendless for 2

Nah it's too late, it's been 10 years, user. They've all grown up and are in different places in life than me, I haven't moved on or grown at all, I've just stayed isolated and indoors.

Plus, I feel like back then I let them down so they probably don't think very highly of me. Plus, due to anxiety and such, I ignore them whenever I run across them on the street or something, I pretend not to see them and I'm sure they notice that. I regret it every time I do it, but its like completely out of my control, my brain just enters flight mode.
