I'm reading random stuff to acquire vocabulary

Εγώ kαι εσύ
Σε αγώνα άνισο
Να kυνηγάμε τον παράδεισο
Να προσπαθώ να βγω απ' την άβυσσο
Προτού σε χάσω στο ενδιάμεσο

Εγώ kαι εσύ
Τα φώτα σβήσαμε
Σαν δυο σkιές
Που kουραστήkανε
Και στο σkοτάδι παραιτηθήkανε
Όταν ο ένας τον άλλον βρήkαμε

Det är en bra dag för att åka och fiska.
Still sounds a bit odd though, not sure why. Hmm.

>Tycker du om gör att utomhus?
Tycker du om att vara utomhus.
Here we replace going with being in order to convey the same implied meaning.

>Jag skär min finger på krocken
Jag skar mitt finger på kroken.
Krock is crash/bump, for example a car crash.

>Jag ser fiskaret.

How would you say the sentence if you wanted to convey it was a good to go fishing?
>Here we replace going with being in order to convey the same implied meaning.

I don't really know. Det är en bra dag för fiske, perhaps.

>Is this a common thing?
I... don't know. I just went for the more proper sounding thing.

Jag kan inte would suffice. It serves the purpose as saying I can't do it colloquially.

bumperoo

You should talk to people to check your pronunciation. You should also learn IPA since it's actually an incredibly useful time investment even if you're only ever going to learn one language (one day of effort for a better understanding of how sounds work forever and a quick tool to reference them independent of orthography.)

Learn pronunciation FIRST since it's so different from western languages, then blast yourself with input on input using Spoonfed Chinese or whatever Anki deck you want to use. Try to expose yourself to the characters only passively and really focus on nailing the sounds. I recommend Zhuyin over Pinyin for this reason, since Pinyin doesn't correspond to western uses of letters at all.
Casually spoken Mandarin isn't hard once you have that down: in fact, it's the easiest spoken language I've ever studied **past the pronunciation stage** and **before the literary stage.** The written and literary language is the hardest subject I've ever studied by far but you really don't need to get a grip of that until you've gotten a grip of the casual spoken language, which you can do in about a year of well-applied effort.

?
Lmao what a dumb reason. Chinks are subhuman at least learn Japanese or Korean

How is it a free ride if you are testing out?
