Even once all the consensus/aggregation code is finished and an actual communicating network is deployed, there will have to be a period where node operators are invited to use and test the network, bugs are ironed out, unforeseen challenges arise, etc, etc.
I think the bulk of the code, including C/A will be done within the next few months, sure, but I would be very surprised if main net was launched this year. I think even 3 months worth of open testing would be ambitious.
