DJT is a Japanese language 勉強スレ for anyone interested in the language, anime, manga, visual novels, light novels and Japanese video games. Japanese speakers learning English are welcome, too.
Yeah I think you should read something easier for your own sake.

>本来なら私に触ることも許されない身分なのに Even though you are of a social status where even the act of touching me would not normally be allowed, >こんなことして… You do this sort of thing... (trailing sentence) >覚悟は出来てるんでしょうね? You've already fully prepared yourself for the consequences, I assume? (already fully steeled your resolve, already made up your mind)
Please become my master. I'm a virgin lolicon just like you said. I was stubborn and wouldn't throw away my worthless pride. The truth is I want to be bullied by a strong, beautiful little master like (name) Sama. Please bully my penis. And afterwards if possible please allow to to cum. Hehe... fine. I'll let you be my servant.
How long will you read this shitty mango for? Not even Genkishitters doing English courses at uni are this slow.

To me it looks like "if the 最低限の売上 can be read/predicted..." But I don't understand any of the terminology so I don't know
Xavier Garcia
カバレッジ = availability of products in stores 扱いSKU = product line (I think)
So literally it looks like "If the minimum sales achieved as a result of expanding our product lineup/availability can be predicted, television advertisements hold the power to multiply sales by 1.5 to 2." That condition does not make sense to me though.

New theory: "If the minimum sales achieved through expanding our coverage and product line is within predictions, ..."
Please keep making our Polish friend creating the threads. It saves me from having to watch that Anime. It's annoying how わたくし has the same Kanji as わたし >(name) Sama

From what I've seen from her, it seems that it's less detailed version of imabi.net/
Brody Morgan
>achieved as a result I don't quite understand where you are getting this from
I just read it like ~if minimum sales can be predicted by raising the カバレッジ and 扱いSKU.....~ there's literally nothing else in this sentence
That is how I would normally interpret it if I were not straining the rules of grammar to make sense of it >カバレッジと扱いSKUを上げることで最低限の売上 I'm trying to read this as "最低限の売上 resulting from カバレッジと扱いSKUを上げること" Don't know whether ことで can modify a noun like that though.
Nicholas Price
it's more like ことで is modifying (or whatever you call it) 読めれば
argh chin chan sniff sniff i wany to FUCK CHINO i was getting bored, are you really finnish or are you in poland using a proxy?
Nicholas Jenkins
My interpretation was that the prediction would be made USING the 上げること. "If カバレッジと扱いSKUを上げること can be used to predict the 最低限の売上, then テレビ宣伝 (would) have the ability to increase 売上 by 1.5 to 2 times." But as you can see I do not grasp the subject matter at all.
Whats the Japanese equivalent to The Great Gatsby, The Giver, To Kill a Mockingbird, Animal Farm, East of Eden, Lord of the Flies, In Cold Blood, etc. Highschool core, the shit every kid has read in highschool
>「あれはね。ちゃんと遅刻と休む日数を計算して、授業落とさない様に休んでいるのだよ」 >「あれって、遅刻三回で休み一回なんだっけ?」 >「そうそう、さらに言うと四分の一休むと試験内容に関わらず、その授業の単位は落とす事になるわけよ」 The last part is "if you skip more than a fourth of a class you fail it regardless of your test score" right?
Jace Cox
「売上が予測できれば」はだいたい「売上があれば」と同じ意味ですか?
Asher Perez
とりあえず、 The credits (required for graduation) of a class can not be given if the number of absences is more than a quarter of the number of days of the class 単位をcredits required for graduationと訳してみた そちらのUniでは、どういうのだろう 英文は適当に直してください だいたい半年の授業で2単位で、学部課程により卒業するために必要な単位数が決められています また要卒単位といって、単位を取得しなければ卒業が 認められない授業があります 意味は違いますが、文脈から、ここでは予測という言葉が略されているとわかります
>「そうそう、さらに言うと四分の一休むと試験内容に関わらず、その授業の単位は落とす事になるわけよ」 I translated the above sentence as follows:
"yeah, that's right. in addition to that, if we skip more than a fourth of a class, we will end up not getting credits for the class regardless of your test score."
Bentley Nelson
>your test score our test score*
Matthew Smith
Thank you! I also had a few more (hopefully simple) questions about some text that came immediately after that. >「そうなんだ」 >「でもね。実は四分の一以下の休みの場合は、試験に影響は与えないわけなんだなぁ」 >「へーそうなんだ」 >「って……何、こいつの言うことに感心してるのよ」 >「あ、あはははは、いや、そうなんだなぁ。と感心しちゃって」 そうなんだなぁという意味はこの場合、"I see!"より"Oh, that's right!"に近いですか? 感心をごまかすつもりだったのか? >「ふぅ……、そんな話を細かく知ってるのはだいたい授業落としてダブる危険がある人間だけなんだからさ……」 >「そんなでもないよ」 あと、その行はつまり、そういう情報を知っているのは危険がある人間だけじゃないって意味ですか? >「うるさい、とりあえず何が何でも休もうとするなっっ」 最後に、このことを「どうあっても明日学校を休むな!」と解釈してもいいんですか?
Luke Robinson
On average how acceptable is the way people talk to each other on 2channel? Is it ok to read their posts or they're filled with grammatical mistakes and shit like that?
Joseph Allen
へー、そんなことを知っているなんて驚いた/呆れた I'm amazed that you know such things という感じ でその「危険」は「(落第する)可能性/危険性」 で、この前の文の続きやね 「なにがなんでも、どうにかして、学校を休もうとするな」ということ それくらい長く引用してくれればわかりやすい
「へー、そう」は単なる相槌でhuh,soくらいのことなんで、相手がどういう気持ちかは、読み手自身で考えるべきことです。つまり、それは言葉の問題ではなく解釈の問題。 ボクはバカにしているニュアンスをかんじますがね。 それから、上の訳文として Don't make skipping classes be a top priority 授業をサボることを最優先とするな anyhowとかを使うよりこちらがいいかな 日本語では全否定・部分否定の関係が英語とは違うので訳しにくい
So I'm reading yotsuba and instead of trying to read every word and understand every little thing I'm just reading what I know and inferring the rest from context and the drawings. Should I be looking up all the words I don't know immediately? I'm thinking since I am doing anki core 6k deck that the word will come up eventually and I'll learn it then.

"よつばと" is described in Kanto dialect and baby talk. The words are not like textbook. これらの番組を試しにみられる
I'm not sure I understand. Why do they essentially repeat themselves after the person says 「何、こいつの言うことに感心してるのよ」? And you didn't necessarily clarify on the 学校を休もうとするな part either

I have already gone to moomin park in my city before it's constructed in Saitama. There's moomins were swimming in the pool and were walking with four legs. They never spoke a word though.
