dunno, but wouldnt be surprised
its common practice in the east where free market is a dirty word
Given how long it’s taken them, probably.
Canada is throwing litteral billions of subsidies to game developers.
That’s a good thing. The government should encourage the arts. God knows if we held that practice there wouldn’t be nearly as many money-grabbing AAA games.
I've completely lost interest in that game.
I used to be frustrated about the long development, but if it does come out one day I probably won't care enough to play it.
Pretty sure that most major German games ever produced got some kind of German government funding. Also I'm pretty sure that every game made by Ubisoft had the logo of the Quebec provincial government at the end of their credits because they always get funding as well. OP, you see, the US is the global softpower super power and doesn't need government initiatives to fund its pop culture sector but this doesn't apply to other states where governments have an active and strategic interest to foster cultural products.
I want to see a big budget game set in modern AKP Istanbul!
in al honesty eastern countries are still state led economies, they just got more experienced in dealing with it
Probably.
TIL that the leaf government ordered farmers to kill 150000 pigs in 2008, as a way to increase the price of bacon. This programme cost 50M Canadian dollars.

It's widely known French government subsidizes your movie industry. Really should focus on games instead, it's 21st century.
Tfw get to listen to great canadian artists on the radio cause it's required by law for tv and radio to have a quarter of its content be canadian
most of the canadian (((artists))) sound dogshit
t. listens to top charts and mainstream only
the witcher gets polish government arts funding
Videogames aren’t arts
They are toys for children
Movies are art and interactive movies (video games) aren't?
Stop arguing with the Jow Forumstard, waste of calories on the keystrokes.
vg has story, toys don't
in terms of arts the work is trying to tell you something about the world, toys not so much
>when you're too based and redpilled for even Erdogan's Turkey
