In 2018 Poland spent 4 bln dollar on buying new weapon. 3 bln dollar were spent to purchase American weapon and only 1 bln dollar to purchase Polish weapon.
Just imagine how powerful Poland would be if we were spending 4 bln dollar every year on buying ONLY Polish weapon produced ONLY in Polish factories. We would already be a nuclear power and regional empire.

Not even Israel rolls like that. Singapore has done great for a small country. They have strong high tech forces for their size. Israel buys lots of local stuff but Americans pay the bill which is huge.
Singapore has done everything on their own though. They have foreign jets and stuff but land war equipment is mainly local but with wise off the self stuff like power packs. Other country to compare is Korea. Korea has a big economy but still they have foreign jets etc.

Designing, developing and building anti-ballistic systems is extremely difficult and expensive.
Many weapon systems are difficult and expensive to produce - Poland probably does not have a sizable defence & aerospace industry to develop that kind of capability without decades and massive investment.

They would transfer shit. We have two factories of helicopters in Poland, both of them are based on American tech. We even produce Black Hawks. So why should we buy French stuff produced in France?
