Recently I was browsing IMDB and found out there is a separate list for indian movies and decided to check out the number 1 in there "Anand", i haven't completed it yet but so far I like it.
I was mildly surprised to hear a lot of english words in your language. I've heard the term Hinglish before but i thought it was slang or some type of vernacular and not something so prevalent. I've checked out a few interviews of ordinary people on the street and a lot of people speak english as if India is an anglophone country with it's own accent like any other (Australia, England, Ireland, US south etc). I've seen Ghandi (1982) and though that english for the richfolk and alike. ( I know it's not correct making assumptions about a country based on fictional films. but apart from that the only time i stumbled on Indians was in matlab and javascripts tutorials on youtube, and those guys usually had thick accents).
