why would you have a programming exam

pay someone to kill you if you fail

Because they need to check so that you can solve the problems and write code independent of access to the internet and your buddies.

you can only practice it, just remember what things do and why, why is abstraction needed, what is interface etc

Ahem, excuse me for saying this but
>write code independent of access to the internet and your buddies.
LITERALLY NEVER HAPPENS
TEAM WORK IS EVERYTHING
YOU DON'T WRITE CODE WITHOUT THE INTERNET
STUPID BOOMERS

>programming exam
drop out or you might become part of the suicide statistic

you need common lisp

It's a basic course dude.

You need will, not motivation, user

Try meditating and focusing on the stuff you need to do

>why is abstraction needed, what is interface
I have no fucking idea about this. I recognize the words and that I have used them in assignments after googling a lot, but what they are I cannot tell you.

You still don't want to test a persons skill in something as random as programming. It's way better practice to grade assingments and maybe have a final, a bit bigger task as a final exercise.
Pulling shit out of your memory just leads to more bugs to fix later on.

How do I get motivated to keep breathing?

Nah, it's a basic course. Besides, I think my professors know what works better than you.

you don't

they are a special type of class that has abstract methods that cannot be implemented, they are used so you create subclasses from them

but it is just an example, programming tests are about understanding why you do things, as long as you know that you should be okay

Yeah, I don't know why I've done anything in the assignments so far. I just googled a bunch of shit and was like "yeah that looks right". I made a pretty sophisticated platformer style game this way.

depends on the test i guess
you should practice just in case

look at programmers' salaries, though btw in sweden even mcd worker make similar money so i do not know
also if you do not enjoy doing it maybe just try to find any other profession

The average for a software developer was $4700 per month in 2017. McDonald's workers earn about half that.

I was wrong. Hmm, so you have a motivation to learn to programme. But really do not do it if you do not like it, it's
tough profession if you do not enjoy staying on the computer for 8+ hours almost every day and non-stop self-learning.

It also depends if you just want to be a web dev code monkey and do the same job, or you want to develop yourself to be better. anyway, good luck my friend.

Program fun stuff covering your topics.

I had to do it too, on multiple occasions across different exams in Java, PHP, JavaScript, ABAP and Drools

I think they exist mainly because it's easy to grade them.
