Bzehniyev was great
Everything after him was shit

was pretty shit desu.

Same thing happened when it opened in Sweden. To be fair

Who? Bzehniyev?

Back when Russia was a superpower, wow.

Well, considering that in the present day it is utter shit, I’d say they were great once.

We had a hamburger ban. Only the state was allowed to make hamburgers and they were pretty alright honestly.

>hamburger ban
wtf, why?

SARA dominated everything
sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sveriges_Allmänna_Restaurangaktiebolag

Disgusting American influence, Social Democrats wanted to ban skateboarding and Disney movies under the same pretext.

It was shit and a some in the same time.
Standing in line for literally anything surely was shit.
But in the same time things like military, science, industry and so on was awesome.
Modern Russia can only dream about it.

Communist China is objectively the biggest trainwreck in human history.

Attached: chinese.jpg (753x735, 112K)

implying real communism
Mao was a retard in economic aspect. China after 1978 with the adoption of capitalism element prove to be a great success.
russia also adopt capitalism too, but it failed.

Look who's talking.

You're right, maoist china is a better term. I forget if Mao has Kim Il-sung status in china.

I've talked with some soviet era russians and they seemed pretty nostalgic about it

>After the fall of the Soviet Union and the opening of its archives, Social-Psychological Historians of the 1990s became baffled at just how contented - if not outright happy - most people seemed to have been living under Stalin despite how incredibly difficult life was for them. By the late 2000s they recognised that they had made the mistake of assuming that the Soviet 'man in the street' had always possessed the cynicism and disillusionment which he had demonstrated during the USSR's twilight years and ultimate suicide.

Ummmm

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/KFC_in_China

>KFC is a fast food restaurant chain that specializes in fried chicken and is China's largest restaurant chain. KFC restaurants in China are owned or franchised by Yum China, a restaurant company that also owns the Pizza Hut and Taco Bell chains in China and was spun off from Yum! Brands in 2016.

Honestly this shouldn't be a big surprise for anybody who travel to vietnam before and enjoy the food they got to offer pretty much literally everywhere
Not to mention they come in soooooo late, brand like lotteria has been there for nearly 15 years

Yep it was

at least they survive, not like someone
*staring*
mostly the price and the culture. We dont go out to eat alone (well most of us), we like to eat together, thats what McDonkey lack and seem to not understand that simple reason.
you cant compare with the cheap, fast food in the local market
capitalism work

Thanks.

pure shit

Shit

Depends on who you were at the time and what your status was.
Problem was that the Soviet government was good at making the republics dependent in weird ways (like having factories that made submarine components in landlocked countries.rail lines that weaved in and out of republic borders, ect) as well as moving ethnic groups around or redrawing borders (see Crimea, Norgorno-Karabakh, and others as examples) which fucked over many republics once they got independence.

All in all it I guess it just depends on what you value in your daily life as whether it was great or not.

This one was pretty good.

Attached: 800px-The_Russian_Empire-en.svg.png (800x407, 103K)

Are the former soviets enjoying their independence? I hear some of the -stans have to enslave their own population to go pick cotton just to get by.

Depends on the generation. The older ones here definitely reminisce of the Soviet days. Which makes sense as there are tons of infrastructure that is wasting away, there is a war with the Azerbaijan, the men all go to Russia for work, and anybody with half a brain or worth a fuck leaves here for the US, France, Russia, etc.
However things are improving, we had a revolution here last year and the corruption is being addressed. The economy is improving slowly, and people are pretty free here. But shit is tough day to day for sure.

In Soviet times, Russia maintained all shitty republics. Thanks God the USSR collapsed.

awesome
based as fuck

You're not wrong. Now all the shitty republics can come to you as taxi drivers and construction workers haha

Still not as bad as the USSR.

Attached: e8a99ce76.jpg (1080x1548, 260K)

Oof. Why was Armenia and Georgia so high compared to the other republics?

Georgian and Armenian Mafia in the Soviet government.

Lol Armenia still has that 'gibs me dat' attitude.

I love meeting the Russian soldiers up in Gyumri as they are bored out of their minds in this crappy country.

We're trying to like you, Vietnam, but your shitposting is terrible. Step it up or pack it in.

It failed for a reason...

so did ancient greece and the roman empire my friend

And?

everything fails eventually, it doesn't prove anything

People who say that it was awesome scare me.

Yes, it proves either it couldn't sustain itself or got conquered/defeated by stronger and more efficient nations

It was shit.

Slightly better than Kampuchea under Pol Pot but worse than everything else.

It was shit. Fuck the state. Anarchism is the only answer.

dunno lol, never lived there

i heard that most of npcs here hated it, although some of them loved it and kind of miss the russians

redpill me on soviet union and life there, honest opinions without putin or eu propaganda

t. born in independent Lithuania

I'd say okay
The whole idea of communism and totalitarianism is shit
But the ussr wasn't that bad after all, except for stalin era
It lacked democracy and human rights, that's all it needed
Gorbachev was based af, Yeltsin ruined his attempts

modern day russia is such a shithole that anything beats it, ussr included

Attached: russia_shithole1.jpg (734x722, 224K)

Thank you Mikhail Gorbachev

Attached: Pizza_Hut_logo.svg.png (220x207, 18K)

Damn right, they should've gone ahead with those bans (and many others to combat Am***can propaganda)

Fucking based social democrats

Some guy went to court for selling flat meatballs between two pieces of bread. People in the 50's were fucking stupid.
