not really, you can make good money in computer animation but it's highly selective, orlando is not far and there are loads of skill school for that, it's only meme if you can't find a job

Since I enrolled in the one of best universities in this field I can easily find a job but the problem is you can't make much money compared to CS or even web dev

Who cares, do what you love bro

Unironically

Everything is a meme if you're not good at it.

If you were an animator working for a japanese animation sweatshop you would care about the pay.

Isn't it getting outsourced to 'Nam? I'm sure I'd enjoy the Yen in my pockets.

>working for Japanese anime production
Not really, People here work for Korean 3d animation company rather than 2d Japanese anime production since weebs don't actually spend a lot

well yea it's arts, cs is engineering

They pay shit

Meme major bunker thread?

CS is science, not engineering

Outsourced jobs almost always out compete local ones

Philosophy major/Literature minor. I haven't been able to find jobs outside of temporal/semi-voluntary positions at cultural institutions (museums and libraries). I'm planning on getting a second degree in CS.

it's engineering

I'm CS minor and CS is fucking science, not engineering

CS is engineering, not science. go /sci/ and ask them the answer

That's software engineering

Then explain why there is science in computer science

Computer science is not engineering because they don't take the FE. Computer engineers take the electrical and computer engineering FE exam, and thus that is the distinction. CS students do not touch on hardware at all, outside of perhaps physical addresses and such.

>t. senior computer engineering student with a focus in hardware

it's just a misunderstanding caused by taking the field of mathematics like physics. cs has nothing to do with the universal knowledge of natural phenomena. of course it can be helpful, but it is used only as a local tool.
