Everytime someone mentions Estonia as the best baltic country it makes me physically cringe, i can only imagine how humiliating it can be for Lithuanians themselves. It should be illigal to even compare one country with 1000 years history, that at one point was the major power in Europe, citizens of which always stood it's ground, to another """country""" such as Estonia with 40 years """history""", country: the epitome of bootlicking, they never even had an opportunity to surrender to anyone becuase they never took any action in the first place, their people were living in mud huts while Lithuania was concquring everything and everyone around them. Now people disregarding all of this becuase Estonia apparently has something like 10% higher wages or whatever due to slightly more efficient utilization of gibs. Disgusting!

A friend I met on a previous visit took me there to see the area, visit religious spots, places where castles used to be, national park...the view from the tower in the area was pretty great. Got to visit the Hill of Crosses which I was really impressed with. Overall experience within Lithuania has largely been positive.

I have done a bit of that - Vilnius, Trakai, Šiauliai, Klaipėda, Nida, Kaunas (but it was raining...heavily). Nida was cool, loved the sand dunes up there.
