I believe pigs were domesticated on several occasions on different places, one of those places being China, so they'd at least have imported those at some point probably.

Also I was kinda curious so I looked around a little and apparently wild boar were herded already around the 8th century and domestic pigs would be common(ish?) in 1859 and there was some references to eating pig in the Edo period
