Innate autism and idealism.
>inb4 ten thousand US flags screeching about their supirior wapanese econo-shitboxes withstanding more abuse without service for years

>over engineered
>expensive to maintain

Being a quality engineer for European parts I see first hand how stupidly engineered the PCV systems are for BMWs specifically. Make me want to gag.

What does 'over engineered' mean?

Based

For me Porsche is the best brand.
Damn i want a 911 so much aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Complicated for the sake of being complicated.

brand fanboyism makes me physically cringe whenever I encounter it

That generally means they're built better yeah

I want 944 or 968
*sips

No, just greed

I found a 996 here for a relatively "cheap" price.
On the same website i found a 968 costing 3x the 996, it's crazy how Aircooled Porsche's skyrocketed over the years.

>964

Fix

Because Germans identify with machines more than other people.

Define good? With the exception of Audi, most German car brands are known for poor reliability.

garbage.

>Overpriced Datsun

People are paying almost 500k on these cars because of a fucking movie.
They aren't bad, but no way in hell they should cost GT3RS money.

hi zoomer

Attached: [email protected] (1664x936, 249K)

It doesn't. Every complicated piece of machinery needs regular servicing. Most of the screeching about German cars being unreliable comes from mutts that literally never go to proper service, because of your dealership kikery and just change oil once in a blue moon at Uncle Cleetus' Ye Olde Shoppe.

964 is just a 911, 968 is a whole different chassis and build, they are also much rarer

>toyota can only win when porsche isn't there
lol

Germany? Hahahahahahah wtf? Germany "makes" (ie gets made in indonesia) some of the worst cars on planet earth. Only shittier cars are american.

lmao

Thank you Japanese for my parents' car and my car.

Shame about the airbags tho.

GTR34 beats any porsche any day of the week lmfao

Porsche is shit

AUDI is the goat german for sport
Mercedes for Luxury

BMW and porsche are garbage.
you wasted 50% of your internet's monthly allowance on a shitpost. Stop that.

I sure like Canada's cars. Oh wait...

What's the least reliable German car?

>Oh wait...I buy them from Ontario so in fact I do like them.

they kept winning and got bored and left lol
nah they probably just spent enough money and achieved what they wanted to, so they saw no reason to stay

yes, just 280hp is enough to compete with 400hp machines

regulation was changed and kicked out for their cheating

>280hp
more like 330hp
and stop talking shit porsche didn't cheat

Everybody knows that the Japanese manufacturers lied due to the "gentlemen's agrrement".

>>tfw no british car industry
You still make brand-new steam locomotives, though (not boilers for big ones like the Tornado, though; it's boiler is German-made, and the operator, DB Cargo UK, is German-owned).

Attached: IMG_3486.jpg (4000x3000, 3.53M)

you mean everybody knows that the german manufacturers lied regarding the "clean diesel".

Why did we just sell all our big companies, it is so humiliating.

Attached: 1384026516514.png (200x200, 60K)

Better than having it all to be trashed by the big corps when you govt opens the market.

Only Mercedes has been good in my experience. BMW and Volkswagen were pretty bad. Don’t know about the others though I hear they are decent.

It hurts.

we had a rover four-door in the 90s and it was a fucking nightmare. i don't know how things were allowed to get that bad

Germany only makes shit cars (Fitting, for a scat-centric country). Mercedes is okay.

The best car in the world is a RX7 from 1979.

slower than a cobalt around the ring

owned by BMW iirc
and lotus just got bought up by chinks lol

yep you are right

Isn't Aston Martin and McLaren still British controlled though?

I just googled and yes they are but Aston Marin's HQ is in a village called 'Gaydon' :O

*chinese

>Germany
>good cars
This isn't the 90s anymore.

Only good thing about them were the LS engines. Everything else was just GM mediocrity.

I remember watching Top Gear and they went into a village called Peniston.

Attached: file.png (960x960, 1.4M)

90s memes die hard. They totally missed the electric car transition and now it's Tesla or some China brand in the future. German cars appeal to the Boomer, but they will die with Germany eventually.

>Junior Germany seething hard again

>t. uses manual transmission because his Boomer dad told him automatic is bad (maybe it was 50 years ago, the dinosaur knows).

The only reason Germany still dominates in the luxury car market is because the Japanese haven't figured out design and aesthetics.

Attached: A169161_full.jpg (1160x820, 109K)

t. Boomer dad actually drives automatic German meme care and berates mum for not going automatic.

*pukes*

Attached: 2019-lexus-ux.jpg (1920x1080, 185K)

japanese cars are boring, they have no character.

Based Boomer dad.

>shifting gears is too much work for my soy-glazed arms

Attached: brainletttomaatto.jpg (960x953, 54K)

Germans like order so they like to make quality.

regarding going automatic he is. Once you drove automatic you don't come back.

>mass manufactured products every one can afford
>luxury
Especially with BMW it's just a scheme to distribute money from the public hand (I.e. productive people) via Turks or white trash to the economy where it belongs.

>panese haven't figured out WESTERN design and aesthetics.

FTFY.

The Toyota Century in Japan is the pinnacle of Luxury for the Japanese.

Attached: file.png (300x168, 97K)

Fucks sake.

Attached: file.png (1920x1080, 2.46M)

The Skyline GT-R is a good car, especially when you have the cash to tune it, but don't fool yourself. Any 911 from the 90's and up would smash it.

Don't get me wrong, I love Japanese cars as much as you do, but there's too much fanboyism about them.

>Puerto Rico
>RX7
Everything checks out.

looks like it was modeled after someone describing a rolls royce over the phone

German cars are only fun when they're on a warranty. After that you might as well toss them in the trash, because they're designed to be as hard to maintain as possible and fall apart when the lease ends.

I've read on Quora that BMW salesmen are very rude and Mercedes ones very polite

BMW caters to zoomer pricks and Mercedes caters to boomers.
