Depends on which region exactly you are planning to go to. I always recommend Kraków to people because it used to be our capital and most of the original architecture wasn't destroyed during the war. It's the Polish Kyoto, you could say.

Not smiling, not fake. Can get aggressive after a couple of drinks. I find Poles to be ugly in general, both the men and the women, and don't get why some westerners fetishize them, except for the obvious fact that many women are poor and therefore keen to jump on any dick that has money. If you don't speak the language, don't expect to interact with too many people outside of hotels and maybe nightclubs.

Sure. If you're in Kraków, you could make a daytrip to Zakopane as well. It's overrun with tourists, but the scenery is nice. There's also a town called Lanckorona nearby which has a very traditional feel to it and where an important battle involving the Bar Confederation happened during the time of the Polish-Lithuanian-Commonwealth. Very historic little town, pretty too, but kinda off the beaten track, so I'm not sure about train connections going there.

Yeah, but they're almost exclusively run by Poles who went on vacation to Turkey once. I've been to Kaliningrad once, and their "shoarma" snack joints are run by genuine Muslims from the Caucasus or from central Asia.
Many Asian imbisses in Poland are run by genuine Chinks or Viets though, so that's authentic at least.
