WHY ARE CRYPTO PAYMENTS SO SHITTY

I wanted to create a business that accepts cryptos as payments.

I heard about allt hose cryptos and have been mining some some years ago, now I wanted to get some with a business

I sell a service. So basically, you go on a website, you pay some cryptos, and you have access to the service

I prepared it all, and now I just tested a common coin paying service, accepting 50 different coins.

I try it with bitcoin...I see 10 to 45 minutes wait between the payment and the confirmation ? WTH

Same with other coins

I thought those super techy currencies were convenient, fast... but they are slow as hell and this is freaking 2018, we shouldn't have to wait 15 mins to pay for a service

TLDR - All crypto is shit for this simple reason : 15 to 45 minutes wait for a simple payment, enjoy your bubble burst retards

Are there solutions for faster crypto payments - or is it shitty everywhere ?

Cryptos are better than wire transfers but not instant payments.

BCH 0-conf is reliable at the moment

How can you accept it in a physical store for example

"Sorry sir, I know you just paid but you ll have to wait 15 to 45 minutes so I get my confirmation"

Besides, this is when people have chosen their product, so they are more willing to wait

I sell my service AFTER the payment. So very few people would wait on their computer, 80% at least would say "fuck it" and leave

Is your service cheap and are you able to service large amounts of people in short time? Then just don't wait for confirmations. 99% of customers will not plan to scam you.

Only case where the wait is not a problem : for online orders of physical goods, where there is time to wait anyway

But that s only a part of the internet, a huge part relies on almost instant payments

just move from a payment service provider to accepting crypto directly. Most BCH wallets support 0-conf now so you can see it in real time without waiting for a confirmation.

I just fear that this will have a huge impact on the cost of the website - I have a freelancer willing to make it for 550$ with the payment API - really easy to use,

If I have to ask him to code acceptance and verification of each currency this will be an added workload

Install WordPress and a theme. Install woocommerce,and choose something like bitpay for a plugin to accept crypto. Done.

until then, you're probably safe accepting bitcoin with 1 conf and eth with a few, but with the shitcoins you should be careful.
if your service is cheap enough it probably won't be worth it for people to fuck you over anyway.

I bought a lot of physical goods with ether when it was peaking with bitcoin and it went perfectly and was even easier than typing in a debit card. And if you want to buy gold or silver with it there is no tax ;)
