Why do Americans don't take likes seriously?
An english grammar books says it's a correct sentences "Ed tells me Bruno's crashed his car again". Shouldn't I use "Ed told me" in this case?
If you're using it in a context like, roleplaying for an example, yes
>Ed tells me Bruno's crashed his car again
>I proceed to call Bruno and ask him if he needs help with anything
>Bruno proceeds to die on the fucking spot
However in a past tense where it already happened, you should use "Ed told me", and "Ed was telling me about how Bruno crashed his car again" works as well if you're telling someone else what Ed told you a few hours ago
As seriously as I took you're mom's virginity last night
great explanation, user! thanks!
There are people on this board with a few thousand likes while most have nothing. They haven't earned the likes like we have to now, likes were gotten easily at the beginning but when they amassed a big amount people started giving them likes purely because they already had likes. They even make bad posts on purpose to show off their like dominance and they still get likes from us as the liking class believes that they might be like them one day. It is a lie, the liking class has no chance of ever moving up and we therefore must strike the likeist class. Likers of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains. You have a world to win.
