A minimum of 2880 keys have to be bought each day to keep it running (in reality people buy many more than that for now)

So the price of a key goes up by .000000432 eth per day minimum.

At this pace it could take months. When I got in with 1 ETH @ 6000 in pot, my hourly ROI was around 0.05 ETH. Now its less than 10% of that.

You may know the reason but for the benefit of other people reading, the reason why your return gets diluted so quick is that the key price is split among all keyholders but key price increases so slowly that its possible to dilute the pot hugely before dividends will increase. Getting in early conveys no benefit in and of itself.

Lets say you're the only key holder, you have 1000 keys, key price is 2 dollars. You get 2 dollars every time someone buys a key (lets pretend theres no pot).

Some asshole buys 1000 keys.

Now theres 2 key holders, but the price of a new key only went up by .00000000015*1000 -

A key now costs 2.000069 but your dividends have been cut to 1,0000345 that is, nearly halved.
The next person to buy 1000 will raise key price to 2.000138 sure but by buying their 1000 keys they've brought your divs down to 66 cents per key.

It takes much less effort to reduce how much dividends everyone else is receiving, than to increase the price per buy in, as a result dividends will fall and fall and fall unless you're constantly buying new keys, at a rate belied by the increase in key price being so slow.
