I did matrices, differential equations, and a very basic view of polynomial properties in my last year of high school. It wasn't very formal though.
In the past, we used to see geometrical transformations of the complex plane. However, this was seen as a bit too specialized and as such the curriculum is more "broadly scientific" rather than 80% math 10% physics, 10% chemistry and a few humanities here and there
