My dream of university turned into a nightmare, how are the universities, study loans and such in your country
That’s a nice pepe
i didnt pay tuition because its easy for anybody who isn't a brainlet to earn a merit-based scholarship
studying for free at one of the better unis here
probably still gonna fuck it up by being a retard but whatever
i'm paying to study in one of the worsts
Universities in the USA are the best in the world. You can get a loan very easily. Some retards end up taking out too much loans and cannot pay it back. To be fair to said retards, they do encourage you to take out loans at ~18 (literally a child) and the guys most in need of loans are the guys too retarded to get a scholarship. No wonder they fall for it. Colleges keep jacking up the prices and something has to give.
I took out ~$18k of loans, paid it back in a few years. Don't use my degree at all nowadays. I could have gotten a full scholarship at a smaller local college but I wanted to go to a top name school. My brother got a full scholarship. My sister, brother and mom are still paying off their loans but they all make decent enough money.
just get in a federal uni, if you want a shit major you don't even need to study
>. I could have gotten a full scholarship at a smaller local college but I wanted to go to a top name school.
And I did for ~2 years but then I also dropped out and went to local school for cheap because loanbux scared me, full trip would have been double that.
Same.
Money isn't that much of an issue, aside from a 300€ semester fee university is free here. My parents will support me so my living expenses should be covered for the most part. I also have some savings and plan on getting a job if I will have the time. I'm more worried about actually understanding everything and passing the exams.
free
I don't complain
What did you do? Get a 1500+ on SAT?
do they give racial quotas to refugees, muhammad?
There are thousands of public unis here, dumb n .
>how are the universities
free
full of qts
full of lefties
the professors are very nice people.
I have grant for being poor but summer will cost since it doesn't cover it
about 800$ per class
I'm paid to go to school so I planned a trip to the usa and about to buy car with it.
I had financial aid and dad was in the military and used his GI bill for 4 years of school. and Im going to be in college for 9 years (5 years for bachelors and 4 years for doctors). so Im about 60,000 in debt now. but would have easily been over 100,000 if I didn't have my dads help or financial aid.
over all definitely worth it
*crack* *sip*
The US has some of the world's best universities but overall prices are obscenely high, and there are some significant issues with the way some schools treat their students ("safe space" mindset, insane effort and funds put into football and other sports while mental health gets insufficient funds, etc)
It's all fine desu
How do scholarships work in america? You have to apply for them here and I regret not doing so because absolutely no one advised me on it
This, but I did take out loans to pay for apartment and food so I didnt have to work during bachelors kek. May have to pay for masters but hopefully not much. If I get a job in my field any debt should be paid off in a year anyways so no big deal
Most of them you apply for. Some schools use the normal school application as their scholarship application. So for my bachelors I just applied to the uni and didnt do any extra work or essays and they gave me the full tuition based on gpa, class rank, act scores. Outside of that there are thousands of external scholarships, some can be really good and pay off most of it, but require you to work for the company afterwards or something. Many are small $ like $500, 1k, 2k etc but can add up if you apply for a lot
Yeah that sounds similar to how it works here except I don't think universities just give our scholarships without a separate application unless you're low income or something.
nigga if u pay for college in brazil u must be dumb af
Based
What did you get o the ACT?
only like 32 or 33, all i remember is it was strange because math was my lowest at 30 but reading or english section was 36 and i always did well in math class, did EE for bachelors and doing physics/engineering related grad school kek. It was the best instate uni, although i dont live in a big state
Of course not. Any kind of "affirmative action" like that (quotas) is illegal.
