I don't like the Ottomans because they were leeching off the production and money of the arab region and investing it instead in Anatolia and the Balkans. They ruled arab regions for 400 years but gave us nothing. Egypt, As-Sham, Iraq, Hejaz, East Arabia and Yemen have no Ottoman monuments. All those regions have nothing from the Ottoman era. They literally caused our decline.
Not to mention the worldwide mentalities of 19th and 20th century's nation-state, imperial and nationalist ideas that caused turks to look down on the arab subjects and deliberately try to put us down.
Of course we rightfully wanted our own ethno-state and rebelled against them but they call us traitors because of that lmao. The only mistake of the arab revolt was trusting the Br*tish.
