Go there every other month to visit my gf her family in Münster. Pretty good
I was there for a month when I was in the Army, was at Paderborn, North-Rhine-Westphalia. It was alright, but the geography of the area was so similar to England I wasn't entirely surprised. I should go to Bavaria really.
>Have you ever been to Germany?
no but i wish i can do that in the future
They were even more roboty than i imagined
I came in a few bitches from Heidenheim on my high school trip. Shit was cash.
how often have you posted your asshurt about Germany today? 10 times? 20 times?
That's actually the first time. You see, no one in Austria likes germans
STOP
TAKING
OUR
WOMEN
I went to Bremen in middle school
>no one in Austria likes germans
Nah, just the autists like you.
I‘m so sorry.
It was nice, though
No, but apparently it's nearly identical to Sweden, except that people don't cross the street when the red lights are on.
Come on, you bores. Live a little.
Dad is German so I go there on Christmas every two years. I like it. But I avoid the big cities, they are little too aggressive.
kek sure it is
you're pathetic
>no one in Austria likes Austrians
In Europe, half the nations exist solely on the butthurt generated by the notion that they are not who they actually are. Like Finns thinking they're not Swedish, Greeks thinking they're not Turkish etc.
I went to Munich for a few days and I found it to be very pleasant, and not really that dissimilar to the UK apart from how it all looks. I enjoyed how many German restaurants were there, and the people were very attractive and actually quite friendly (against the stereotype of germans being cold)
They still have a huge hardon for Sweden in Wismar. Around the city, pictures of your royal family hangs and other Swedish related things
Eh, memes. Austria is to Germany roughly what Scania is to Sweden.
Were the Turks afraid of you like they are around American troops in Germany
occasionally I cry myself to sleep thinking about all the cobblestone street cafes I used to go to and the wonderful bakeries I would get fresh bread from when I lived there
You mean 100% Swedish, was always Swedish and will always be Swedish?
How can the people in charge of the HRE pretend to not be HRE?
I really, really want to visit Germany and check out the zoo and various historical sites. Maybe next year.
Just remember, any one older than 40 doesn't speak anything other than German
That stereotype applies more to the north people in the South are more outgoing and friendly albeit very conservative
So I've heard, and my german is pretty poor. Thankfully I rarely talk to people, though a friend of mine had random strangers talking to him.
Jesus Christ, is he O.K. now?
>How can the people in charge of the HRE pretend to not be HRE?
Political propaganda mostly. One of the most egregios examples.
>except that people don't cross the street when the red lights are on.
if you jaywalk you not only put your own life in danger but that of others as well.
even if you cant see a vehicle in the streets there might be a very fast driver on the horizon
Maybe from the German perspective! All the same to us. I suppose the national consciousness especially since the wars veers towards seeing you as having a 'prussian' demeanour, but from what I understand most germans aren't really like that
>check out the zoo
flights from stockholm to berlin are very cheap these days
your mother tongue will help you out. written german is quite easy for you to decipher
It's one thing having 'jaywalking' be illegal, lots of countries do it, but I remember when I was on a school trip to Berlin as a boy, I crossed an empty road and a random person tutted at me. That would be totally unthinkable here, just a different attitude to the law I suppose
t. expert on other people
I was in dusseldorfs airport making a connection from london to sarajevo if that counts
Food was fantastic. Some pretty cool architecture. Lots of history to take in. The people were kinda rude though.
god you people are incredibly anal
>All the same to us
Nah, the demeanor and mentality is quite palpably different. You don‘t need to be some Germanyboo to feel it. If you ever visit anything north of Frankfurt you‘ll notice quite quickly. It‘s actually quite amusing: the usual stereotypes about Bavarians/Frankonians and Swabians in the north are that the former are religious and provincial and the latter are stingy and stupid, while our respective states are best performing in almost all regards.
>t. assblasted kaffkärntner
Yes. It was terrible. Everything was technologically 20 years backwards and there was degeneracy and shitskins everywhere.
My former GF was from Freiburg im Breisgau (full blooded and poud badische) so yes many times.
Too many turks in Baden btw.
Yes, twice. Love Munich me.
>incredibly anal
what does that mean
This. Europeans think they suffer, but they will never understand these feels.
Ach was hätte sein können
Uptight, fastidious, excessively concerned with rule following and minor details
being absurdly obtuse. or in simpler terms being uptight
>implying you dont look like a turk
No Ramirez, i'm venetian
says the fucking mountain robot
Munich is called the most Italian city of of Germany. You need to go to Hannover, Berlin, Hamburg, Ruhrgebiet, Ostbundeslaender to experience "true" Germany.
It was alright. I went to Meissen and Berlin. Meissen was beautiful and I enjoyed eating outside away from car exhaust in the pedestrian-only zones.
Yes, I was actually right where the picture is
Nah, we‘re chill. It‘s similar to how people like to go on about German being the ugliest language ever, because we‘re the default baddies.
The real Germany is basically epitomised by this video:
youtube.com
You don't have to understand what they're saying (I sure dont').
how the hell did you find that video
And Dresden is/was called Florence on the Elbe. How is that relevant?
>hurr you have to go to the worst places to experience le real thing
were Germans behind the original HOAs in America?
>I sure dont'
basically he buys stuff he doesnt need with money he doesnt have.
he buys the laptop to play games. then he tries to figure out how it works for a couple of minutes, gives up and puts it aways
Krautchan Jow Forums
Not even carinthian sweetheart ;) I told you already, no one in Austria likes germans. It's so cute seeing how germans slowly realise that no one actually likes them. You can see the shock in their faces
>Krautchan Jow Forums
I mean Kohlchan Jow Forums
RIP in Peace
Why do Germans often look and act like slavs? This video is just polished Russian neighbourhood with bydlos speaking German instead of Russian.
do you know this classic from the german "wife swap" show?
>Andreas snaps
youtube.com
Yes, I have seen it.
During the renaissance, many european aristocrats decided to go on long trips visiting many european countries, and out of all of them, Germany was universally the least liked part of the trip
>The real Germany is basically epitomised by this video:
rude
it's an obsessed autist from Tyrol
No
why?
Germans are uncivilized
they are so loud
they are from eastern europe
does this answer your question
Probably a WWII Slavic rapebaby.
cold, no culture, no roman legacy
up until romanticism and The Sorrows of Young Werther, all german literature was based on french and british models
wish i could find the original article where i read about travelling during renaissance and the enlightenment, but i cant sorry
No culture? What? Were they tonedeaf?
Can I also get a qt dutch gf in exchange? Please I am so lonely
Lived in Berlin 3 years. Moved to work, great job but terrible personal experience. If could write a great deal about it, but I've come to learn my gripes with the city are personal preferences. Anything specific you'd like to know?
Sturm und Drang was literally the high point of Enlightenment literature, brainlet.
what was the worst thing?
>no culture
Western Europe is it's own entity rather than an extension of the Mediterranean world because of people like Charlemagne
How many tote bags do you have and what is your favorite mate smoothie?
He was Belgian
Extremely boring
No
Only if you drive a shitbox :^)
Yes
It was nice and I'd go back again but I was only in the west and went to recommended cities not the shitty cities. I really liked Bavaria respect Munich and Rottenberg
quite depressing actually
>Rottenberg
Cringe. Disneyland village. Visit Bamberg if you get the chance.
I only ever was in Bavaria, it was cool. Nice hiking opportunities, even if nature is similiar to the one where I live. Munchen is your typical tourist trap, but I had some fun there as well. Small towns were pretty sterile and dead. Also I was genuinely surpised at how tasty the food was.
Greeks aren't turks.
Wiesbaden is nice tho
I was born in Wurzburg and lived there for 3 or 4 years, too young and dont remember any of it t.b.h
I see your flag and I'm not sure if you're trolling, but here it goes: worst part was the actual Germans. I know what I'm about to say can easily be answered with "not all" and this is definitely true. However, the general unwillingness to communicate despite actually speaking the actual lingua franca which is English (unlike say south european countries which I also visited). I am not a native English speaker myself and are making the effort to communicate. The constant reminders that I should speak german are gratuitous, particularly as I just arrived and need to do the anmeldung. Aren't you supposed to be the main force behind the EU, no borders and all that shit? Then what's your fixation with people speaking German to do basic burocractic transactions when you can perfectly, even more than me, speak English?
Couple of times. It was pretty nice. Though once near Cologne train station there were some drunken teenagers who were very rude to us. Very not nice.
I‘m sorry, could you say that in German? You‘re in a German thread after all.
>Munchen is your typical tourist trap
I‘m not sure you know what a tourist trap is.
are you for real? germans are among the most likely to speak english. Obviously not comparable to scandinavians and dutch but way ahead of the mediterraneans and the french
Often, mostly Aachen and Keulen. It's nice, especially during christmas.
