In the next 15-ish years climate change is going to make life anywhere near the equator very, very difficult. and if you look at a list of fastest growing countries...well...you start to realize that this current migrant "wave" is like a ripple from a rock compared to the coming tsunami.
I don't have a problem with anyone really. Germans are kinda annoying and shitty tourists but ultimately I just haven't been exposed to enough different cultures to develop anything as strong as hatred. But if this tiny trickle of migrants is enough to spark a giant crisis of conscience for the entire west then we are totally unprepared and unwilling to receive the literal billions of people who will be desperately trying to flee drought, famine, storms etc.
That is going to be the great struggle of the coming time. These people will be too desperate to take no for an answer, and who knows what shape the governments of China, India, Pakistan will be when they suffer inevitable revolution due to food and water shortages. It'll be our version of Word War One, and not for the casualties the west will take necessarily but the absolute crushing and transformative effect it will have on western civilization to endure the type of military commitment this struggle will entail.
