Mortality rates are naturally higher among males and when you don't have mass infanticide or abandonment of female babies like in China or India, the numbers will steadily skew towards more women over time. I'm not entirely sure why it's gotten to where there are probably between a million and 2 million more Thai women than men, but I still prefer this to China's situation.
