What is life in Tokyo like?
What is life in Tokyo like?
Bump
must be pretty comfy if you like cities
>tfw can't take comfy nightwalks through tokyo
people everywhere.
Is it true that in Tokyo people were allowed to build whatever they want wherever they want?
Great but fuck the north and north east, those sure are ugly neighborhoods. Nothing beats Sakurashimmachi and Futakotamagawa.
English teacher everywhere
Chu-Chu oh my love.
i don't understand how cities bigger than 1 million population can even function
What confuses you?
I think so.
it's just labor union is not functioning here
Holy based. Must be very comfy.
No. They even have laws governing the amount of sunlight each house is allowed to get.
It is because my apartment is literally hidden. It's very quiet, no cars, no people, nothing, living in a hidden alley is great.
This is how I wanna live, surrounded by infinite density hidden in my own little corner of the city.
my ideal living space looks like this, it's also located in Tokyo and costs about 4 million Euro to own
Then it must have been like that at some point? How did they get the medieval-tier density private housing?
that's everywhere in japan
Why in lawless Russia you need to get 100500 papers for each action, while in lawfull Japan you can do whatewer you want
I don't know, something something Dragon Ball something
You can build things because you have dragon balls?
ill buy it if i win the jackpot tonight
lonely
Reminds me of Persona 5. Idk why
Is your brain stuck at the medieval times?
I once saw a house for sale at 35.670236, 139.731097 and fantasised about it for weeks. To me, it looked like the perfect location; up a quiet little alley, a central location just minutes away from everything, family mart just at the end of the alley, etc. Pity it's sold now, but it cost something like £8000000, so it was just a fantasy to me anyway.
forgot pic.
Gott dam this is comfy. I want to explore those small Tokyo alleys and chitchat with the locals and take photos.
I'd like to live in a city where most houses are privately owned instead of being apartment blocks. That must be comfy as fuck.
Most of big japanese cities suite that, but so do some cities in UK and in some other places.
>10+ million city
>comfy
its hell, Kansai is paradise
I love big cities but Tokyo is kinda annoying. There are areas of it that are absolutely lovely, but you're forced to live 10km away from them because of the meme houses and low-rise architecture sprawl. Also the crowds are often more uncomfortable than in other megacities.
I think it's an amazing place to visit but I lived there for 1 year and I don't particularly want to go back there on a more permanent basis. I'll still visit every year or two though.
They're not actually a singular city, they're usually an agglomeration, for example Tokyo consists of 23 special wards each pop 500k-1M
