There are plenty of things that give link value, but not being an erc 20 isn't one of them. Although the specific 667 spec does mean that link has actual utility beyond being the network coin.

There's no minimum of link to run a node. Obviously more is better. No one knows the profitability of any nodes, but there's probably a practical minimum the market will decide for average nodes.
