No, I would guess most people think it is a joke job.

yeah

quite sad when you've outlined the material for students in an easy to understand way yet none of them passed the subject

post link

its equal to baby sitter in the states

It's not about making it easy to understand, it's about motivating or deceiving them into believing that the material you teach is worthwhile to spend their time on, and that they're capable of understanding it

for example, in those Asian countries listed, teachers and education is automatically respected because it's well known that education correlates directly with success in those nations
But in America et al. you can just be a rapper or some faggot on youtube, and those are more "cool"

No, most people think it's a joke job for people too scared to try anything else.
>"I love history but don't want to try and do anything with my degree, so I'll just teach other people who don't care about it"
Rinse and repeat with literally any subject. Only university professors are respected as they are actually knowledgeable on their subjects and are teaching it to people who actually care about it.

This. Especially in the cities where half your class is literally the equivalent of apes.

No, and no one under 24 who grew up going to public school in an urban area is able to read

Nah, most brazilians zoomers don't respect even their fathers, they won't respect their teachers.

i had really only a handful of teachers i would say i respected all throughout school. now in college there are a few more but still not that many.

>don't respect even their fathers
???
how the hell did that happen

does education using belts not exist?

Nah, we used to just dab on them back in the days

>OWWWW! Who put those thumbtacks on my seat?!? I'm keeping the whole class after school until the person did this steps up!

Yeah

grade school teachers or professors?

It's a crime since 2014

>Mr. user, stop hitting her! We promise we'll behave!! Sh-she's bleeding! STOP! She isn't breathing!! Mr. user stop it now!! Please! PLEASE! NOOOO

No

Tfw no post-war drill sergeant as your school teacher.
I wanna get disciplined

Some of the fathers believe that "education is not violence". But I don't really know why so many zoomers are like that

>"education is not violence"
hitting your kid just make him retarded

I never got this poorfag meme of "not violent = laxist"

my father never hit me and I always respected him and my teachers. What is authority duh

That's cuz you're a without-feelings-korean person, you're not able to understand it, dude.

Maybe decent kids don't need it and can in fact be ruined by it, maybe there's a line between positive violence and negative violence the main difference being the parent mustn't do it from anger or enjoyment but instead controlled discipline, maybe violence was never actually needed in the past but is today due to withering values and other zoomerisms.

No, violence against teachers is pretty common and there were cases of teachers getting severely injured because of some student.
One I remember was a teacher was about to go down the stairs and was hit in the head with a metal rod so he fell down the stairs while having the already existing concussion from the hit.
Also teachers are referred to by their first names

I feel pretty bad for teachers to be honest, high school teacher in particular must be the worst job on Earth. I'd rather shovel shit in the sewers.

Damn, I mean, I have a biased experience as I only went to two schools, but I'd say they were respected a lot of the time in and out of class, if the teacher is male.
If she's a woman instead it gets a bit harder, I remember my English teacher cried because some girls in my class did makeup to a classmate while in class and it caused a lot of disorder in the classroom.

Fuck no, they're usualy considered people too stupid to do anything else. Only university teacher gain some respect.

You can clearly see that only authoritarian states have a great respect for teacher. Guess why

Nope, homo sovieticus are super mad that they somehow manage to fight for their rights
>nooo wtf who do those lazy fucker protest to get higher wage? I work in a plastic factory and only make 400 euros they cannot ask for more money!!!

I have the same respect for teachers that I do for janitors, maids, and police. I appreciate them because they do a shit job that I would never want to do myself and I applaud them for having the patience to do what they have to do

Teachers have way too much benefits anyway.
The average plastic worker is much more important than most teacher

bullshit

Students call them by their first name and without ''Mr.'' Or ''Mrs.'', even in university.

I always thought American schools in TV shows sound creepy as fuck with all the ''Miss B'', ''Mrs. Smithson'', ''Prof. Goldberg'' etc

t. degenerate from Tel Aviv

What the fuck are you talking about? Kids in Tel Aviv or other civilized areas are the most respectful, because all they do is call teachers by their first names. In ''based non-degenerate'' places like Ashdod, this happens every day.

Yes, it is.
It’s not a job anyone would work for the money, because the pay isn’t good and the required education is long. The job is only for people who devote their time to helping children improve themselves. I’d say it’s one of the most appreciated and respected careers.

No. They’re all crooked pieces of shit looking to get s government job

We always just called them Sir or Miss

>HEILANDSACK NOMMAL HÖRT AUF MICH MIT PAPIERKÜGELCHEN ABZUSCHIEßEN!

Teachers can be either respected or not respected highly dependant on what kind of person that teacher is.
There are some classes in which you don't give a shit about them and just do your thing during class but there are others where you'll be afraid to even look at the clock to check the hour

Correct.
Also, very rarely, do you have students attacking teachers. Yes, I'm not stupid, some teachers do do things that are unethical/illegal or just plain egging on the student(s), but still.

American "gangsta" kids think they are owed everything so they can act violently whenever they want.

That's also kind of creepy honestly
Even in the army, once you finish bootcamp you get to a first name basis with your commanders (or last name without titles)

Not really, but they can certainly earn respect from most students if they do their job well and know how to actually handle them. Their pay is also garbage and they constantly go on strike.

Went to a technical school, all boys. A typical class consists of around 3 tough guys who tried cocaïne once( one marrocan, one vatnik and one white trash). They would sleep, throw their books around and yell 'bitch' or 'suka' to the theacher. Then there's a manlet who always wants to be the center of attention( interrupting, yelling,...).
The rest are footballers and gamers who were lazy but friendly.

>Toronto education
This was in the news recently.

Yes. Teacher is one of the best job here in South Korea. A lot of elite become high school teacher.

Pay is also good.

Depends, if the teacher does a good job they are respected.
If the teacher is shit, no

No, because they are lazy (they work 18 hours a week and 3 months and a half of holidays) and they are socialists and they are always on strike.
