Wew

Traditional
Modern

architects/designer will have some autism

I agree, I don't see why we can't have both

>wtf building developers should pander to my tastes!!1 muh evil post-mawderneesem!!1

>yes, please mister shekelberg fuck me up the arse
Fix'd

I like a lot of my city's modern architecture, but in most other places it's just bland glass façades. You got to have some standards.

>modern architecture hater is an anti-semite
Not surprised but yikes.

NYC's modern architecture is quite kino for example.

even then was better than now

New York mainly builds traditional lowrises and modern highrises, not a mix of both. If you'd remove traditional skyscrapers like the Chrysler building and the ESB from it's skyline it would be boring as hell.

>unironically shilling for ugly houses with one gimmick built with minimum of effort

>the middle and bottom one
I don't know what the architect was going for, but I know what I see
"blight"
"cancer"
"assimilation"

unironically

Art Deco is so cool

Yes. Every single one is ugly and inferior to anything else.

And those "traditional architecture" used to be new too

Kek at those dumb LARPers

The bottom one on the right unironically looks cooler than anything on the left.

Islam is the answer.

It's just tall glass and concrete. Devoid of any beauty.

BEAUTY IS SUBJECTIVE

Ha, yes, the famous big glass rectangle.
It's in [any town in the world].

Have both but keep them separated

half of the the "modernist" buildings in that pic are postmodern. are Jow Forumstards retarded?

>women are objects and have no rights

Moscow is literally trash city for architecture. It is basically turning into Mogadishu tier

There's Modern and then there's modern

modernism and postmodernism are strictly different architectural styles. the concept "postmodernism" even originated as an architectural term.

You can say "modern" buildings in a colloquial sense. It just means current if it's lowercase. Just like modern art and Modern art.

>expensive and unimaginative shit on the left
>cheap and strange cyberpunk shit on the right
Both are worse.

Why is it expensive to add ornamentation? It just makes things look pretty but also adds cultural elements. Making cities look nice is more likely to bring in visitors, and thus income. Designing beautiful cities is profitable and enriches cities for the inhabitants

op pic clearly says modernist and not modern.
of course, american rednecks are known to turn every word into -isms to sound more important (i.e. "globalism"), so it might be because of that.

>m-modern architecture b-bad

Probably one of the most overrated buildings in the world.
>b-but duh waterfall
Fucking christ

Shits ugly m8

They look like IKEA boxes when you pick them up in the warehouse

Left for Europe, right for America

Brutalism is not that bad as compared to other modern architecture.

>The City Beautiful Movement was a reform philosophy of North American architecture and urban planning that flourished during the 1890s and 1900s with the intent of introducing beautification and monumental grandeur in cities. The movement, which was originally associated mainly with Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, and Washington, D.C., promoted beauty not only for its own sake, but also to create moral and civic virtue among urban populations.[1] Advocates of the philosophy believed that such beautification could promote a harmonious social order that would increase the quality of life, while critics would complain that the movement was overly concerned with aesthetics at the expense of social reform; Jane Jacobs referred to the movement as an "architectural design cult."[2]

I don't like it because it's old, I like it because it's beautiful and hospitable.

>>cheap and strange cyberpunk shit on the right

They're actually more costly since they have complex designs.

>Wright's shitty sandwich house
So tiresome
That picture would be much more beautiful if the building wasn't in it

Of course the kikes had to protest

Brutalism, of course!
