if i was mega rich i'd build something like pic related, just a giant narrow tower surrounded by nice gardens (or maybe water). The lower parts would mostly be vacant, maybe just an elevator up to the luxurious top floor.
Not sure why anything like this doesn't currently exist in the world, all we have are the more practical towers that serve as apartment or office buildings (ie: Trump Tower) but nothing like what I'm talking about where it's far away from city and only single-family residency

Croatia would be great too - Montenegro had cheap housing before they joined NATO but I've been looking at Croatia, Montenegro & Greece. All look comfy AF and the housing there is much more affordable for the type of climate than anywhere else I can find in the world.
