lots of money goes into research on this subject right now and there are some promising methods being developed, but they don't have as wide spectrum as antibiotics. it won't finish us off. climate change won't destroy us either, sadly. you underestimate our adaptablility.

this is just completely wrong, if that were true why are the number of people dying from antibiotic-resistant increasing each year as the problem gets worse? These sick people in hospitals, surely they can just take one of the already extant antibiotics right? Then why do they die? And this is not even mentioning fungal infections which are increasing for the same reasons and are just as lethal
and all that research will develop tools which won't be applied in third world countries because they don't give a fuck. they don't give a fuck about stopping global warming and they don't give a fuck about this, because they're bumfuck retard farmers who think like this genius

of course not, and it's not my point, I'm saying the species will survive no matter what. but I do have a much higher chance of surviving than most of the worlds population because of where I was born.

This was true in the 90s, not so much anymore. There hasn't been a serious climate scientist that think man doesn't have a serious effect on climate. People that disagree are as you said "weather experts", engineers, physicists, i.e people with no actual knowledge in climate science
