Give me one reason why we're not all gonna die from drug resistant bacteria. Bacteria don't just become more resistant per generation now, they share drug resistant genes with each other. No reproduction necessary. A generation from now deaths from infections from these bacteria will be the same as cancer. If you think the U.S doesn't give a fuck about spraying animal shit on everything and pumping anything with four legs full of antibiotics, imagine third world countries. Sure, we can quarantine ourselves to some extent but imagine the unrest that's gonna come from such a big disruption to trade and global economics. And who's sure we can really quarantine ourselves? And what happens when terrorists get a hold of this shit?
Give me one reason why we're not all gonna die from drug resistant bacteria...
SHut up!
we're going to go extinct from not being able to reproduce because we have no sperm
Bacteriophages will save us
Because we'll die from climate change first.
Half the country is convinced climate change is a hoax, or that it's not something we can change despite every climate agency saying it's an issue caused by man.
based bakterimakes finna go over, humanettys BTFO.
bump to save the species
>Give me one reason why we're not all gonna die from drug resistant bacteria.
unless you live in some unhygenic shithole, or you're working at a hospital, you will probably be safe.
Because that isn't how it works. A bacteria resistant to one type of antibiotic will be weak to another. It has to do with the chemistry and there's no way around it.
wtf italy
lots of money goes into research on this subject right now and there are some promising methods being developed, but they don't have as wide spectrum as antibiotics. it won't finish us off. climate change won't destroy us either, sadly. you underestimate our adaptablility.
this is just completely wrong, if that were true why are the number of people dying from antibiotic-resistant increasing each year as the problem gets worse? These sick people in hospitals, surely they can just take one of the already extant antibiotics right? Then why do they die? And this is not even mentioning fungal infections which are increasing for the same reasons and are just as lethal
and all that research will develop tools which won't be applied in third world countries because they don't give a fuck. they don't give a fuck about stopping global warming and they don't give a fuck about this, because they're bumfuck retard farmers who think like this genius
and yeah, some of us will survive, do you have any guarantee you'll be one of the survivors?
>anti-vaxx cancer
>drug-resistant bacteria caused by retarded overuse of antibiotics
It's time to quarantine Italy.
>do you have any guarantee you'll be one of the survivors
why do you care. We will all die one way or another. Resistant bacteria won't wipe out huge chunks of humanity like the spanish flu did, because of better hygiene and health awareness.
>and all that research will develop tools which won't be applied in third world countries because they don't give a fuck.
well, just like today. people are still dying from leprosy, full treatment for which costs around 2 dollars.
>and yeah, some of us will survive, do you have any guarantee you'll be one of the survivors?
of course not, and it's not my point, I'm saying the species will survive no matter what. but I do have a much higher chance of surviving than most of the worlds population because of where I was born.
Alarmists
They'll figure something out, they always do
Your task is to keep working and spending
Humans survived for a long time with absolutely no antibiotics and barely any real medical treatment, we'll just return to that kind of existence (worst case scenario, as scientists are working on treatments and new technologies).
This, the weak dies, and thd stong survives. The world would become better if half the population died.

>italy
Why is it not terrnoia, they eat food straight from the garbage bin so they must have inflated those numbers
Be the change you want to see, user. Feel free to hang yourself to improve the world.
Better how? The economy would collapse. Most products and services would become more expensive or not available at all. Do you think people work just for the fun of it?
I'm not the one who judges if someone is weak or strong, the nature will.
you don't seem to understand, in 2050 its projected deaths from these bacterial infections will exceed cancer by 2 million deaths annually. if its as simple to solve as washing your hands, why do these deaths keep increasing? whats gonna stop them rapidly increasing over time? you aren't addressing this
>in 2050 its projected deaths
30 year projections in the field of infectious disease is completely meaningless. There is no way to predict scientific advancements or new mutations will exist by then
theres been nothing but a trend of steady increases in the rates of death, saying oh well we'll fix it by then doesn't seem convincing when the data is showing a steady increase
Clearly you also don't understand nature. The following is actually a misquote (Darwin never said it in these very words), but it sums up the theory of evolution far better than "muh strength".
>It is not the strongest of the species that survives, not the most intelligent that survives.
It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.
There's no guarantee that those who survive are somehow "better" or stronger than those who die, only that they were better at reproducing in short term for whatever reason.
Russia has the answer, they use virus to combat these bacterias
excellent post from the czech republic, legit changed how I see evolution
>all gonna die
because we're not all genetic trash with shit immunity
i have never taken antibiotics in my life
>Iraq
I think my brother killed some of your friends
you're probably right
and you will pay for it
keep it short. It's too long for some dumbasses like me to read
>every climate agency saying
Are you sure about? Or just watch these stuff on TV?
A part of the weather experts doesn't share this viewpoint, others even affirm that climate change is a normal process.
I didn't have time to research some papers of this different perspective, but I know that exist.
>I didn't have time to research some papers of this different perspective, but I know that exist.
This was true in the 90s, not so much anymore. There hasn't been a serious climate scientist that think man doesn't have a serious effect on climate. People that disagree are as you said "weather experts", engineers, physicists, i.e people with no actual knowledge in climate science

heh.. nothing personnel.. prokaryote...
