Online, like Facebook and Youtube, regarding the EU or other European things I saw alot of British comments basically saying they dislike the EU or even the continent at times, but us Dutch are "okay"
When I was in England last year I spoke with alot of regular Brits saying they dislike continental Europeans, but "the Cloggies are alright".
Why is this? or are my personal experiences an exaggeration?

I can't really explain it, but Dutch people feel very similar to us, just much more direct, but otherwise the same, down to the sense of humour, and politics,
I don't get that 'feeling' with other Continentals, maybe France has a similar sense of humour, but they are far too foreign

We're really quite similar I think. Even walking round the posh old bits of London sometimes, I think 'wow this looks Dutch'
Seafaring nation, colonial history, plain food, Mercantile, a mix of the 'Latin' and 'Germanic' worlds, similar language - theres a lot that conspires to make us similar
