Do Mexicans really do this?

Do Mexicans really do this?

Yeah, it is real. We're not a punctual bunch either.

Why? What's tge thought process behind it?

If you are 3 minutes late here people get pissed kek. Be on time or don't come at all.

Indians are not punctual either
Seems we have Lot's of things common with Mexicans

Mexicans are rude cunts and have no respect for your time.

Not really

For parties yeah. Not for any other kind of meeting

That sounds like an oxymoron. If it's not only tolerated but actually encouraged as a gesture of politeness to arrive past those thirty minutes, you aren't actually arriving late.

My gfs dad is puerto rican, and her mom is mexican. Her mom is ALWAYS atleast 15/20 minutes to everything. But her dad takes the cake, he is habitually an hour late to everything. I pick him up in the morning when we've got a job together and it makes me lose my mind. Have to knock down his door and always end up helping him make breakfast or whatever hes doing that is holding us up lol. Fuck. My gf somehow though ended up perfectly punctual, actually she is anxious and needs to be places exactly 5 minutes early, which in it's own way drives me crazy. Im a 3/4 minutes late kinda guy (ghetto white)

Not when it's for a party. Then you always arrive late. Always.

I hate the culture of punctuality that the anglo-saxon capitalist machine keeps forcing on us good Latin nations.

It really is terrible. Had a job recently that had a mandatory ARRIVE 5 MINUTES EARLY FOR THE BULLSHIT SAFETY MEETING. WE SAY WORK STARTS AT 6:30 BUT ACTUALLY IT IS 6:25 ANYONE WHO MISSES THE SAFETY MEETING WILL BE WRITTEN UP. 3 STRIKES YOURE OUT
I had to take the damn bus, so it was either arrive 25 minutes early, or get there 5 minutes late. Told the supervisers what was up with that and all i got back as a response everytime was "you gotta figure it out".

This
I fucking hate it when people don't arrive on time. If you say that you're going to arrive at 18:30 dont come at 18:32. İt's wasted time which could've been used better than to wait. Life is short and you should use every minute of it

This really explains why mexico is so shit.

For important meetings and formal stuff you have to be punctual, for everything else the pic is real

I show up 15 minutes early for everything

Because of your flag I’m not sure if you’re being satirical or not

But what about 18:28? You'd probably hate it too because it is too early you may not be expecting me yet

I'm not kidding. It annoys me when people are too late. Don't make "promises" if you can't stick with them. Why would someone say that they will arrive at 18:30 if they're going to be late and let the other person wait. Say that you'll be there at 18:45 so you don't have to be late and actually make it on time. Don't waste others time.

I guess it's the same everywhere. Arriving late can be used to give the impression that you're too cool for being there, since you had too much stuff to do.
It's a very annoying way to think and I hate everyone who does it.

Being early is never a problem, except when you arrive 1h too early. I mean you should always be prepared but being late means that you actually didn't make it in time.

Not here in Dalarna, if you show up late for a party you better bring a bottle of booze.

I'm not him but you think this girl is white?

Well I know you are exaggerating for the sake of memes but it is ok I pretend to be an ameribear all the time. But seriously it is easy to notice around here how, say, doctors have completely different attitudes. Some are ok with you being 10-15 late, but often times it reasults in THEM being fucking late since all of their patients are a little late and if your appt is at the end of the day you can wait for up to an hour! Whereas some doctors would give me shit for being 10-15 late (one of them even fined me for a missed appt!) but once you get used to it you are always on time and so are others and the entire office is always on time and you know you are going to get admitted immediately on arrival.

and why are you asking and encouraging the edgy latvian faggot, asswipe? obsessed with race just like him?

She is a latina goddess, post your memes to hide your jealousy it's okay

>Party at 20:30
>Arrive 20:31
>"Wow, user, why are you early lol?"

Get the fuck outta here

>implying Americans and Canadians aren’t late all the time either
I mean we’re not as bad as latinos but everytime I plan to go somewhere with friends, half of us are like 10 mins late.

>I know you are exaggerating for the sake of memes
Why would I lie? It doesn't make me funny, it doesn't make me cool, etc. If you arrive 5-10 minutes too late to your job interview for example, that would already be a big minus for you. They want their employees to be punctual. But if you're early to your job, you can leave earlier (at least that's the case for my brother).

In informal settings it's not unusual. But what about formal settings? Being late to work, or a business meeting, is it tolerated in North America?

In that case, no it isn’t and I doubt that’s tolerated in any country, even Latin America.

>Being late to work
Depends on where you work. If you are in IT, it is usually pretty flexible as long you don't spend less than 8 hours at work (give or take).
>business meeting
usually 3-5 minutes is a grace period before the meeting starts. if you are late... you can pretend that you've been busy working hard. it is usually ok unless you are the presenter.

Kek remind me not to date a German, I’m usually like 10-15 mins late to informal meetings.

We do the same but it's more around 15 mins

Russians are the worst.
>have a party with russian diaspora
>everyone is 1-2 hours late
nobody wants to be the first guest and they know they are all going to be late so they show up even later

>Party at 20:30
>Arrive at 23:30
>The party is just starting

Don't lump us in with you, Chink insect.

Yes Americans are “very” punctual people

Why do you gotta be a dick?

She's actually 6IX9INE's sister.

It’s true

All Canadians must die. Hell, there aren't even any real Canadians left, all that's left are Chinese. They aren't even Canadian-Chinese, like our Chinese are American-Chinese, they are just straight up Chinese. I hate them all, I can't stand them.

i dont, usually i get 20 min before

You’re an idiot

No-one asked you, Zhang.

this. I always plan some buffer time because you never know about traffic, maybe need to take a detour etc... better safe than sorry.

This. Like you know a party starts at 22:00, then it's okay to arrive at 0:00.

>Party at 20:30
>Don't arrive
Time is just an abstract concept which doesn't apply to me

I've seen some (very white) Americans sort of say the same thing, when arriving for social events it's better to be a bit late.

Showing up early is considered distinctly rude, showing up a few minutes late is fine.

In formal settings (here I mean work and business) you have to show up on time. Social settings is where it's acceptable to be a bit late.

Wtf i want to move to Mexico now

Sw*des once again proving that their country is dumb and gay

Not him but where I live people only have the pre-party at home. After everyone have had a few drinks everyone leaves together for the nearest pub/club/park etc.
So if you arrive too late you might miss everyone completely.

/thread
He's right, you know.

This happens here so everyone tries to show in late to make themselves look cool

So parties that start at 8pm are usually on at 12am

No one asked you either, Tyler.

This

Actually, I was asked. Maybe you should work on your English, Xin-Ting Lao.

>Actually
Nobody fucking cares.

You cared enough to reply hours after we had finished talking.

You weren't asked in the first place when you made your hilarious insect comment.
Please live long enough to see your kids become faggots.

You should follow the reply comment you're responding to, and he's right, you're pretty clearly butthurt.

I'm not even the guy you're responding to.

Stay mad, Zhang.

Attached: IMG_0799.jpg (501x585, 42K)

Man, I guess America really is becoming a spic shithole, because whites do this shit too now

I'm late to fucking everything but know it isn't polite at all

Mexicans will be later but stay longer. We are more laid back and enjoy life

I used to be late like 5-10 minutes every single shift at my shit McJob. Bosstein looked like he was to pop an artery everytime but usually said nothing because beta fast food manager loser.

>now
They always have.

ok Tyrone Maria McRamirez

I must have hit a nerve or something, that was posted hours ago, why are you STILL responding.

just virgin germans are punctual, you already know that

Ch*nkoid

a lot of countries have a looser view of time and punctuality, in some cases even scheduling two things at the same time even though they know that they can't make it
it's called 'african time'

I get showing up ~30m late to a party so you're not sitting there awkwardly with the host and nobody else, but why bother showing up at all if you're only going to show up TWO HOURS late as everyone else is leaving and the party is winding down? it's just as bad.

In Germany it works like this:

You show up 5-10 minutes early in front of the doorstep or the landing but you don't ring the bell just yet because maybe your host isn't ready. You'll spend the remaining time standing autistically in front of the door, this is when you'll meet the other guests and then you ring the bell together exactly when the minute hand strikes 12.

i dont understand why so many countries are autistic or lazy with stuff. Give me a time and ill show up within 10 mins give or take, its not like its a job interview

I don't really understand why a workplace context is the only one for you guys where showing disrespect towards the other person's schedule is considered rude. Americans are weird.

This is literally the only civilized approach (though I would suggest waiting in the car because it's much less awkward).

funnily enough its actually less strict in a workplace setting

Which car?

thinking that all "schedules" are the same and must be adhered to in the same way regardless of social context is the definition of autistic, but you already knew this.

Some regional cultures in the US aren't very different from that.

If people would arrive 30 mins late for a party I dont care if we are going to do something important this would piss me off
