I ran a popular Bitcoin gambling site at the start of 2015 called WeeklyPonzi. I profited 115 BTC from the fees which at the time was worth ~$35-40k. It would now be worth $960k. Unfortunately I sold the majority of my coins when BTC was $600-$1000 per coin and now I only have ~25 BTC left which I guess is better than nothing. Still, I kick myself all the time but who would've known it would blow up to these insane prices.

satoshi alone owns 10b. the winkletwoss twins over 1b. the overall marketcap is 142b rn.
and we didn't take into account the many coins lost permanently on burnt hard drives/lost pendrives/etc since 2009

It's pretty easy to see, actually. Just look at the rich list and the amount of btc owned by each address.

Says that there's 17378 addresses that own more than 100btc. Therefore the total number of people who own more than 125btc is extremely likely to be below 25k (there might be a bunch of people with 2 addresses each containing less than 100 but not that much).
