imagine being this delusional

I found it very funny that Zelensky is leader of the first round inside of ukraine, and Poroshenko is leader among ukrainians living abroad.
Do you happy that Petro gave you opportunity to escape your homeland, Taras?

Where's he now?

He's not the first living thing you sent to space, just first to come back alive.

>canadian education
First living things we sent to space and who came back alive were Belka and Strelka.

You're a true American hero, Yuri.

Why would we learn about Russia?

On Wikipedia there is no article about them in English BHAHAHAAHAH

This is part of history of humanity, not only Russia.
Sure, northamericans don't need to know this. Most of americans think they were fighting against Soviets in WW2.

He had a nice smile. It's too bad that he died early, like Joe Walker, Elliot See, Soyuz 1, Apollo 1 etc etc, but it's terribly dangerous work after all.

It is.

Disgusting.

>On Wikipedia there is no article about them in English BHAHAHAAHAH
Yep, this is how propaganda is working.

What is reading comprehension?

GG Ю́pий Aлeкcéeвич Гaгápин , too bad they killed you. Well that's how CCCR likes it.

Soviet Union is dead!
the other one is alive.
BASED
Actually nice

Lots of them are simply rolled into the overall "Soviet space dogs" article. OTOH, the English Laika article is a featured article.

...something sad and beautiful about spacedogs !

Very brave man.

No, but we SHOULD have been fighting against the Soviets. Instead we were helping those butchers hide their crimes. Actually, we should have stayed home and let the Germans, Japanese, Russians, and Chinese all fight to the death.

And instead you put everyone on the needle (dollar)

His flight is a great step in progress of the humankind.
Unlike , I dont think that its more or less important. Its just another step of the progress. I hope, that there will be new names, like "First man on the Mars", "First man in another solar system", and I dont care, what name will he have: Ivan, John, Xiang or Takeshi.

based

what if his name is n'ubgubuu
then what?

Who's cuter: Yuri or Neil?

How should I get laid in space if doesn't exist gravity there?

If n'ubgubuu will be a honorable society member who proved himself to be the best of the best, I have nothing against it.
But if he will be put there only to show how "tolerant" and "progressive" this mission is... Im afraid that in this case, with values like total PC, we will not reach another solar system.

So you think people get their history knowledge from Space themed Disneyland rides...or you think that is what Americans do ?
how anti-capitalistic maaaaahn !
It's like we all are sheep, you digg !!
True but Moon landing was WAYYY more difficult.
STILL I AGREE that CCCR won the Space Race.
First satellite
First animal in space
First man in space
First women in space
First spacewalk
First ''zonde'' on foreign planet
First space station

Isn't that exactly what your country did tho?

I think "nerd" sounds like a compliment.

>True but Moon landing was WAYYY more difficult.
Very true.

It is so difficult that no one has do it again yet. But do not worry about it because we supplied the American astronauts to the ISS long after the collapse of the USSR.

Well, USSR won just a first 2 levels of the space race. Our space exploration still not so far from tbe startbpoint. We need better materials, technologies, power sources to continue it.

I have no sense of humor. I live in a big, gray and sad world.
I'm sorry if i offended you somehow.

lit movie, thanks for sharing

>big, gray and sad world.
Oh bro, its not that bad.
We have girls, alcohol and Бeляши in this world so be happy!
No problem. I love how they put real audio of the mission together with scenes from rocket that had the same trajectory that Gagarin had so the view is the same .

Bravo based yuri. Too bad you went out young

Until 1941, yeah. More than you did frogfaggot

I;m looking forward to going to the space museum in Moscow

I was there. Definitely worth visiting.

Nice trips
I wuz in Kennedy space center in Florida.
It was awesome , but EVERY movie and presentation had ''evil USSR '' in it. We laughed but people around us did not understand why are we laughing when film of Vostok 1 launch is in blood red, has ominous music and the narrator says something about '' Soviets where one step in front, so our brave men knew what to do ....for all man kind''
Propaganda at it's finest

Damn, how old are these movies? Are tey from the cold war era?

If you blame unkrainians about ukrainian leaders or engineers, about how incompetent was Khrustshev or Korolev, they will say they were russians and has nothing to do with ukraine.

My Dad and I are planning a trip to Moscow. Not this summer but probably next. He's getting older and we figure we should take a last trip together before he gets too old to do anything besides go on cruises with his wife (first world problems i know). We'll do Red Square, the space museum, I hear there is a museum in one of Stalin's old bunkers, I want to go to the Lubyanka. I also want to go out on the metro and see the Soviet subway stations, but I'll probably have to do that myself as my Dad doesn't like to walk. Maybe go to Gorky Park, see what's going on there.

The one I mentioned was older but I think it was made in 90's (will try to find in youtube)
And some of movies where very new

Something like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=Nt6yDd0rVqw&t

Looked like this one youtube.com/watch?v=8lewPdD38d4

Im not from Moscow, but Im sure there are some other museums about soviet-era tech and culture.
For me, they arent so exciting like the space museum, but they still could be interesting for you if you want to get the complete impression.

Yeah there's a ton of them, it will be hard to narrow it down to a few, but the space museum is top of the list.

Any tips on getting Muscovite thots back to my hotel room?

Probably, there are some girls who will show more attention to you because you're a foreigner, but in general you should do like what you do in your country to get the same.
