Basically China rejects individual rights and democracy out of necessity, they can't take the risk of causing a huge political and class divide between the rich coastal provinces and poor interior provinces.

Any lapse or gap in their authoritarian state control would cause tensions. Countries particularly good at statecraft, like Russia, could fund movements and instigate conflict, as Russia considers Central Asia within its own sphere and direct threat should anyone try and control it. Or Chinas lack of domestic oil production could be exploited to ruin the entire countries economy.

We'd be doing you and the entire world a favor. There are already too many "Chinese" on this earth. Losing a couple million wouldn't hurt anyone.
