What's your favourite national dish?
Mine is pilaf
What's your favourite national dish?
Taco Bell
Octopus peka
pilav+yoğurt+eggplant idc if its national or not
post turkish pilav
Looks tasty af
Yes Wellingtons are delicious, but so difficult to make that you rarely eat them
Is the origin of pilaf something that's argued about like the origin of hummus?
I imagine it differs so much in spices and little additions it's not like comparing hummus recipes.
Feijoada à brasileira
I don't think people really care about the origin. It's pretty different from region to region anyway.
BRAAAAAAAAAAAAP
Absolutely based.
Also a solid choice. I might like a proper Brazilian feijoada better than a proper Portuguese one, not gonna lie.
gray noodles with smoked bacon bits
I can barely name foods that originated from Finland much less Finnish foods that I actually like
Dürüm
What does octopus meat tastes like? Seafood stores sell them here but i won't take risk bying anything but fish there.
>Argentina's national dish
>pasta and bolognese sauce
Why do argies always like to larp as italians?
I don't know any national dishes but I like the regional New England Clam Chowder. It tastes better than what it looks like.
It takes like octopus, I guess. There isn't anything that really resembles it. I guess cuttlefish is the closest, but I imagine you also haven't tasted it either.
It doesn't taste like crab or lobster or any arthropod or shell seafood at all, if that's what you are assuming.
muh Italian dual citizenship
Herrgottsbscheißerle
You dirty Catholic
It was brought by immigrants and it became a staple of Argentinian cuisine. Not sure where you see the "larp"?
Went to Boston a while ago and was hoping to have some of this, but couldn't find it anywhere aside from one tourist trap place in some old building thing with a lot of little food stalls, so I turned my nose up at it
Pilaf is over exxagerated on ex USSR area, every fuking uzbek or tajik or even rusian believes its only him who know how to make only real pilaf (plov in russian)
Doesnt look good tbqh
Ignore him
>Doesnt look good tbqh
It's great, not the best picture. The major issue I have with it is that proper feijoada is made with only the leftovers of the pork, so it doesn't have enough meat. If you just ignore it and add meat, it's a legit amazing hangover sponge.
Yeah it's one of those meme foods pertaining to the region, not surprising you only found it at tourist traps.
I usually add more meat and oranges, and putting add oranges is even a common thing here.
and putting oranges*
Checked
Neither sarts (uzbeks and tajiks) nor ruskies really know how to make pilaf i agree with you but ruskies are the worst offenders. Russian "pilaf" is a glorified porridge
faneuil hall has great food. just because tourists eat there doesn't mean it's shit
*sniff*
For me it's buffalo wings
I bought some trout caviar the other day, what should I do with it?
Based, it's served in my uni dining hall every Friday
Put it on some toasted bread.
up your butt it goes
Take a fresh black bread, butter, some parsley or slice of lemon and eat with cup of ultra cold vodka
Or just eat it with bliny
Wouldn't think to put it on bread tbqhwy but ok fair enough I'll do that!
Don't want them to hatch
Try it with bread fried in loads of butter, finely chopped red onion, sour cream and some dill.
tumpeng used as local version of birth cake and ceremonial stuff from austronesian origin giving respect for the mountain
