Religions are a way to explain and understand our existence, and thus they themselves are simply expressions of our human nature. Denying them as false and as only for the stupid is ignorant.
If people are often tricked by them does not mean religions are evil, but that people are too stupid to think for themselves. Therefore, if one wants society not to fall into the lies of religion, one needs not to eliminate them, but to educate people to think rationally and objectively.
