yes, but remember that the main function of a brain (and of a nervous system really) is to move a body not to execute complex cognitive tasks, generally men are better (actually way better) at efforts requiring moving muscles i.e. throwing stuff, so the fact that there's a (small) correlation between total brain volume and "g" doesn't invalidate the construct of IQ tests as a measure of intelligence

What always boggles my mind is why did intelligence evolve so late? It just like such an advantage, the only reasonable explanation is the Earth was unable to support intelligent life in the past. As to why I have no idea. The earth was able to support huge land animals like t-rex so there was an abundence of calories. Just why did no dinosaur evolve intelligence. I think a good answer may have been hot weather and rain. The Earth in the past used to be vastly more warm and more wet.
