this "should attend it" is killing me. I don't understand the grammar behind it. Who's the subject of "attend"? Who should attend what?

If I learn German, will you sit on my face?

How many dialects are in your language?
Jordan Wood
Why do Russians always sound like their mouths are full.
Christopher Barnes
French There are a bunch, probably half a dozen major ones at least. They're pretty much mutually intelligible, but they have distinct features and some of them can be a bit tricky to understand if you haven't heard them before.
Cameron Smith
Yeah Shakespearean English can be a little bit tricky. If you can understand it you're probably doing better than most English speakers though lol
Jayden Peterson
If i said: ihre Frau schreibt. Would it be offensive? Is it used casually?
Christopher Lopez
About 4.
Kevin Ramirez
I think you mean 'Ihre' instead of a lesbian's wife seems like a normal sentence if you can find a way to use it, e.g. >Das Drehbuch schreibt Ihre Frau, und wir machen den Rest. it's polite and I guess you could use it casually with like a colleague >Wie gehts eigentlich Ihrer Frau?
Adrian Campbell
Hey, if the Britlad learning Swememe is here, I corrected your challenge but it was at the end of the thread's life so maybe you didn't see it. Also, we need a new challenge going.

One per square kilometer. Norway is quite fun in this regard.

Is norwegian hard to learn it would look fun to visit
I'm still at a beginner level, trying to learn French.
Would you say this woman has a regular French accent, like is it normal native French? I'm asking because her profile says she is from the UK.
Grayson Thompson
She sounds fine to me though I'm Franco-Ontarien so that could skew my perception.
Anthony Collins
none you either have an accent that distinguishes you as a foreigner either you don't
Adrian Kelly
I think it would be roughly as difficult as Dutch for an English speaker, but this is bokmål-Norwegian. Nynorsk-Norwegian is grammatically harder, as it has three genders, while bokmål only has two.
Angel Ward
He said dialect.
Chase Clark
But apperently it has no native speakers it would sound weird to talk like that no?
Austin Williams
you might not cosider them as dislects, but you need to know that your language has some regional features such as pronunciation or some unique words that are in use only in specific regions of your country.
I speak Russian. The only real dialectal differences are in pronunciation and intonation. For example: in the Southwest, many G's turn into H's.
Wyatt Reyes
>bokmål only has two Is that so? Isn’t it en, et, ei? Sola instead of solen.
Levi Ortiz
Well yeah. In bokmål, feminine and masculine have fuzed into one. We only use 'et' and 'en' for indefinetes, but the '-a' ending is often used for 'en' words.
Eli Wood
like four or five
Thomas Taylor
So you say manna instead of mannen? Hmmm.
Isaac Brown
No, it's only certain words that it feels natural with, like 'sola', 'dama', 'dora', etc.
Nice dubs, btw.
Grayson Bailey
sounds odd I've heard things like ordboka and such tho
well, there we go

Greater Polish, Lesser Polish, Masovian, Mazurian and Silesian(depending on how you look at it)?
Xavier Smith
Yeah, and maaaybe Northern Kresy dialect in today's Lithuania/Belarus. I'm aware of some Polish media there but I didn't hear a big difference aside from pronunciation of "ł" and "h". I've seen people from there use online a weird mixture of Russian, Polish and Lithuanian though, I'm not sure if that can be counted.
Andrew Rodriguez
I wanna learn Mandarin, where should I start? Listening to some modern Chinese music and it sounds amazing

How good should you get at a language before starting to learn another at the same time? I'm still not very far into learning Italian but I already feel like I want to also start learning Spanish or maybe French
Most of them were moved, however a lot still remained, right now there are over 150k of them in Lithuania and almost 300k in Belarus, I wouldn't be sure about which language do they speak, I've heard that Poles in Belarus are (ironically) the majority of Belarusian speakers, since Russian became the language of prestige spoken everywhere outside of remote villages.
It's harder than the other way around I think. You have gotten rid of "to be" in most places so to sound naturally you'd have to add a lot. The cases work in similar fashion with a few exceptions in prepositions, the numerals work also differently, like instead of genitive singular we use plural nominative with 2-4 numbers, we have two genders in plural which takes a lot of getting used to for east slavs. You might find spelling weird but thanks to it you won't confuse some of the homophones which have direct counterparts in Russian, our past tense is basically the л-form combined with conjugated "to be"... It's not the easiest Slavic language for Russians to learn but the level of intelligibility allows to git relatively gud fast.
Ayden Murphy
Scots is LITERALLY the PUREST for of ORIGINAL English. Prove me wrong.
like 5, but if you go east past James bay, it varies. Even if you stay within these 5 dialects, there’s sub dialects. Dialects within dialects. Hell, even on my reserve you can tell if someone is from the east side of the lake or west side of the lake
It all depends on goals my dude , my main goal in german was to become B2 but then I realized how limiting this level is, B2 was great but it's like you barely put the tip of your penis in the vagina of the language and you want to keep learning more.
If your main goal is to just travel to a country and be able to get around no problem like asking for directions and having small talk with natives then b1 is good. But if you want to actual have deep conversations and even argue with people about demanding topics than C1 is the goal, that being said it isnt like you stop learning things when you reach C1 either but it's a good enough level to live in a foreign country and make native friends.
and with a timestamp, and vocaroo saying "you want to lick my legs"
Xavier Lopez
