Rifles are easy to get in Austria, no loicense required. However unlike in Switzerland people are terrified of guns and consider you a "gun nut" if you have a semi auto. Only a matter of time until they are banned.

Really not a bad shotgun either, at least by the looks of it - I only got it a few months back, but I haven't had the time to test it much, with the range having been closed since Christmas, I've only shot seven crows with it.

I really only got it because it looked fun (it is). 45-70 is so... If not rare, then expensive and weakly loaded, here that I pretty much have to reload all my ammo to afford shooting it, but luckily the handloading community is alive and well. I use Starline brass, 300 gr. Hornady HP bullets, CCI primers and Norma 201 powder, and get OK groupings at 100 metres.
