Reminder that the 2 towers of Cologne cathedral were built in the late 19th and thus shouldn't be taken into account in any easthetic evaluation

most of it was from 1220. Only the transepts's roofs and the spire were rebuilt in the 19th century

they were built after the original plans from the middle-ages
