from your perspective, what's the most free country on earth?
From your perspective, what's the most free country on earth?
Somalia
switzerland
just because there's no government doesn't mean you're free though. local gangs make sure your freedom is limited around there
austria
Somalia, it has no law
Where I am at, Canada
why
USA
I've never heard of your government oppressing anyone
Best Korea
well, people are not allowed to wear burkas or you are not allowed to spread islamic ideas in schools....
Nederland
Anywhere in the world where the streets are crowded with cheap prostitutes that will fuck without a condom
US
USA
bosnia unironically
Iceland?
Unironicly burgland
Guns + loads of uninhabited land the gubbemint can't bother you on
The power to do anything is freedom
If you want to be able to do everything you need money and you need to not be limited with the money you have so countries with murky or no tax laws are the freest
but its not limited to just money, social and unwritten rules must also allow you to do whatever you want so asian countries are ruled out
The country must also not be very limited in size and development, otherwise you are not free to expand in many industries. For example you are not free to build an amusement park in Andora because it not only makes no sense financially but there isn't the space
With these factors in place I'd say D.R. Congo is the most free country on the planet (if you have money)
You can buy the government to bypass the law and bureaucracy so you can do whatever you want
The country has many unexplored flat surfaces allowing you to do whatever the fuck you want in terms of industry
Social and unwritten laws are basically do whatever the fuck you need to do
Very murky tax system as with all African states
Kenya or Thailand.
God I hate these fucking lists. I do not feel free here in Norway, can't even use your own land to ride dirt bikes on. WHERE IS MY FUCKING FREEDOM!?
Antarctica
You can't be free in a country
> can't even use your own land to ride dirt bikes on.
> can't even use your own land...
What? Excuse me, but w-h-a-t?
Yes. You literally can't unless you get approval from the government
Any motor vehicle off-road even on private land requires permits upon permits. Which will conveniently be denied
I've never heard of this. can I get a source?
Based and dirt bike pilled. I am so grateful to be in a state where dirt bikes are allowed on public land
Well, do people follow that law religiously? Or is it socially acceptable to just ride your bike wherever the fuck you want like a true alpha-male would?
that one african country where you can buy heroin legally
America
>even on private land
not true, I just checked. you need a permit to build tracks and roads, but not to drive there as long as the owner of the property accepts it
Norway is a complete authoritarian, mass-surveillance dictatorship so if we're truly one of the most free, it's simply time to commit sudoku.
To me freedom is to have all the options open and have everyone taken care of equally so no matter what kind of a family your born into, everyone gets near equal opportunities to do whatever they wish with their lives. There has to be common rules for everyone to abide by to ensure everyone gets a fair chance at life. Complete chaos where everyone gets to do what they wants is the furthest from "freedom", at least imo. I wouldn't consider myself very free if I had to worry about getting shot or my property seized by some criminal gang at any moment.
Any property marked as "utmark" disallows you to use it for vehicle use.
You can't just buy land and start fucking around on it.
Good luck getting any forest property designated "innmark"
People report you to the police. And they come with helicopters sometimes a year to check for snowmobilers
what's he's talking about is public land, not private. you can't drive on public land that isn't marked with a road because of our nature
But I like our mutual dystopian cyberpunk future! Just wait for full-dive VR and it'll all be worth it, isolate yourself somewhere in a self-sustained way and live in a reality where you literally are god.
This. Matrix a reality when?
Literally a god where google owns the patent to your brain
You wouldn't even know if they already did so it's a non-issue.
Go dilate finn-faggot Jow Forums discord tranny fucking cancer.
Finland, obviously
You would when you go to copy your brain in 80 years
>this match is under copyright by Google INC
>You can't just buy land and start fucking around on it.
good, fuck that. you have any idea what kinda hell norway would be if it was that way? almost every beautiful mountain, hiking path and whatnot is owned by someone because their faggot family claimed it centuries ago. I'd riot if I wasn't allowed to access my beautiful country
based and fjordpilled.
You can still use the land through allemannsrett even though people would be driving their off road vehicles on their private land.
Right now it's different because any land that people want to use for off road vehicles need to be repurposed as innmark which means they can fence it off from you. (Only coastline can't be)
land of free of course
Why do finns love these stupid rankings that try to quantify things like "happiness" and "freedom"
>buy land
>it's not mine it's OURS
God I hate you socialist fucks. Get the off our god damn land, first you steal what is ours and then you complain that we want to use fucking wilderness for our own needs. I'm glad FEFO excludes you southern assholes
freedom isn't defined on the country level, it's defined on an individual level and it's also multidimensional
while citizens of Germany are on average more free than citizens of Saudi-Arabia when it comes to most choices, a millionaire in Saudi-Arabia is much more free than a German wageslave
and while the average German might be more free because he has much more free time than the average citizen of Indonesia, the latter is free to just start selling food on the street while a German would be sued and fined for doing the same
so there's no answer to your question unless you first define freedom and define a metric how to measure it
I know, I got sidetracked.
>you're a socialist if you don't want people to buy your fucking country
lmao fuck off, retard
Autism
Somalia
unironically the US
>100/100
What would happen if I buy a bunch of 5 minute noodles and start selling them on Turku central square without asking anyone for permission?
the united kingdom of great britain
Least free than Russia
Oh, okhay then. This place is so cancerous. Just so you know, I hate discord, I hate big corporations like that in general. I use only IRC.
Do you have a loicence to post here?
All of the nordic countries
>Finland
>100/100
This has to be a joke, but it's probably not if some radical leftist institute was responsible for its quantification
You are right. It is the kind of freedom where a muslim man can beat his wife without consequences, but a Norwegian man get's jail time. Where the white woman divorces the Norwegian despite their kid, but stays through repeated beating with the muslim.
You may not like it but this is peak freedom.
Love it when my mother calls complaining about her marriage while I'm living with my dad. It's like getting a phone call from a war zone. God bless my dad for sticking it through all her bullshit
just murder them bro lol
I wonder how they arrived at 99 for us and 96 for Japan, of all places.
>have to stop showering after 22 pm because neighbour would call the police after that
>some brown kids who wanna ride their bicycles in the yard on a friday evening got told that "they are fucking niggers who should be in bed by now" by some other neighbour
nah man
based
please don't mix true freedom with freedom for jews to kill your country
Russia
Which is based
Canada specifically the Yukon
There's guys up there flying planes w/o licenses, own and shoot fully automatic weapons, fly by night gold mining ops
Everybody tends to stay pretty low profile and good about it so there hasn't been a crackdown
Freedom is when you can tell people how you feel about something without having to be anonymous.
Society is pretty much ruining itself.
Antarctica
Unironically Africa
North Korea. The country is free. It's kind of like in Fight Club: they're poor but nobody can threaten them into submission.
As for people being free, I'd say India or China.
if you need freedom to be ratified by a state it is only an imitation, radical freedom comes from the individual taking responsibility for his/her own actions and declaring themselves free. Radical freedom is not passing the buck to any outside authority (spook)
United States
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
Freedom is a meme
