I don't see any mustard or remoulade
is this the famous cheese that isn't cheese, made from liver that isn't liver?
>Remoulade on an LKW
utterly disgusting
Indeed. Quite tasty. Haven't had any in a long time though. They even started selling 1kg loafs of that stuff at Aldi. Don't you have something similar? It's pretty much ground up meat that is then steamed/baked.
peak sandwich
this
only mustard
>no pickles in the Sülze
Makes me sad
plebs
I think the closest we have is meatloaf, the meats aren't as finely granulated as this. this is like liverwurst and meatloaf combined, and we don't really commonly have anything like that.
prefer to have pickles on the side but some more vegetables in the Sülze
Fuck you mick scum
>white bread
We also have meatloaf but it's not that like. The closest might be some baloney sausage.
>Sülze
My Sülzfren
Mettbrötchen from the baker are also a nice pickup after shopping in Germany
there are all kinds of sliceable meats at our delis to be sure, but we don't have something quite like your liver cheese, I can think of one restaurant in the entire region that makes it, and even then only on certain occasions.
Mijn Mettvriend
You don't have those items over there?
Sad
peak sandwich recipe
0 sandwich
0 toppings
1 mustard
I love mustard on a Bratwurst or other stuff. Even mix it into my Linseneintopf
Unfortunately not but I help my dad with his shopping when I'm over there for the weekend. We live close to the border so no shortage of Kasseler, Jever, Mett, Leberkäse and Spätzle for me. I don't get why people tend to hate on German cooking when you have tons of nice stuff.
Nice. Where do you usually go shopping? Your dad's in Germany? Oh and I dunno, I rarely eat those things but cherish them when I do.
Nah he lives near Arnhem, it's usually REWE but sometimes some smaller places like bakeries and butchers. What's your favourite German sit-down dinner? I really like Königsberger Klopse and Tellerfleisch.
Never had Tellerfleisch and actually had to look it up. I also looked whether Badenwürttemberg shares a border with you when you said Spätzle, which was odd to see in that list :^D
I'd sit down for a good Schnitzel these days. Königsberger Klöpse are nice too. I cook a lot of Indian food these days though.
Too much meat
all shit
this is what a sandwish looks like
Indian food can be really good too.
Looks heaps better than a chip butty desu
>peak
>euro
> sandwich
Well then show us a peak US sandwich
I was hoping you'd ask...ahem
Yeah that looks alright, got more good sandwiches?
yeah, I'll dump some
Yeah say what want about American food but they know their sandwiches/meat
the old bagel sandwich, Bagels had a good run here for a while
Not bad, Amerifriend. Although some of them seem even harder to eat than that belgian mitrailette
this is a proper sandwich
Americans like sandwiches
>belgian mitrailette
I've seen that, it looks good
And our beer selections probably wouldn't go over well there
Are appetizers a thing over there in general?..Here they are a mainstay, and usually wildly delicious and fattening
mhhhmmm Bismarckhering
Apparently back in the 80's and before we had loads of little sandwich shops where you'd be able to buy all sorts of breads with meat and cheeses. Nowadays it's mostly chains but there's still some classics like the kroket or herring or mackerel.
Not a big craft guy myself, I like a couple of Dutch and German macros like Grolsch, Brand, Jever and Flensburger.
Appetizers as in a starter before the main course? Yeah but they're usually not something as big as breadsticks what you just posted.
breadsticks or* what you just posted
>Dutch and German macros
They have those here in our chain mega liquor stores, but I never know what to get
Also what is in the Kroket? Iv'e seen it posted before in food threads
Standard kroket contains a meat ragout, usually beef. There's also ones filled with goulash but I'm not too big on those.
As for beer it really just depends on what you like, the beers I mentioned earlier are crisp bitter pilsner so if you like that and can find it then whahey.
Ever heard of kapsalon? It's shoarma/Döner with fries, salad, cheese and sauce. 2000kcal per serving
come on now, that's not even peak brit
>Euros STILL haven't figured out how to make a good BAC yet
*BEC
>shoarma/Döner
that looks REALLY good, but sadly I don't believe we have anything like that. We have MANY Greek Gyros places though, do you know who much that differentiates from the shoarma/Döner served there?
I think they eat a light breakfast maybe, I doubt that our mega-meal breakfast meme stuff would appeal to them
>"Craft section is all shitty macros
>"Big House Beer" is lmao 23oz
>menu too afraid to list the beer prices
Where the fuck is this. That tap list would be business suicide out here.
Gyros are usually made with pork I think, but I guess it's pretty similar.
Yeah I mean unless you do some heavy lifting or very physically demanding labour I can't imagine eating that for breakfast.
>Yeah I mean unless you do some heavy lifting or very physically demanding labour I can't imagine eating that for breakfast.
Why not? It's just a sandwich, everyone in NYC has them for breakfast.
>mega-meal
Looks like a breakfast for poofters
I actually meant the tractor pull that other guy posted. The bagel looks alright.
lol. I should have Excluded the English. Our 2+2+2 combos, meme sandwiches and custom made skillets are child's play compared to the Full English
shawarma has more meat variety it seems
>Unlike gyros, the packed-down shawarma meat can be anything from chicken to lamb to veal to goat.
>Traditional Greek gyro is made from pork, while the American version of the dish typically consists of lamb, beef, or a scrumptious assortment of the two.
We are always told that it is lamb here, but sometimes places Have Chicken gyros which are really good and a little less pungent

This is the ultimate sandwich, I have yet to have something better
My sister goes to Montreal once a month on Business and loves the city EXCEPT for the food, all meat is raw raw raw(according to her)
American gyro places are all owned by Palestinians and Lebanese
I figured they were Greeks(in Chicago at least) there are LOTS of Greek restaurateurs in this area
My moms a greek immigrant and we buy products at a greek mediterranean grocery store. The guy working the cash register is from sudan and its owned by whitest palestinian in the entire world. Arabs larp as meds cause its good for business
