I study Chinese because it's just very useful that you can have a lot of opportunity to earn money with it. Japanese is nothing unless you plan to play video games and watch anime forever.
Don't get me wrong, I respect Japan for its work ethics but Mandarin is way more useful, and besides, if you learned Japanese then the only work available for you in Japan is to be an English teacher or in our case laborers paid below the minimum wage. Jow Forums will never acknowledge the fact that Japan practices discrimination against non-Japanese people which is why you will never get any white collar jobs in almost any company in Japan no matter how experienced you are.
